  1. welcome to the dog house flash looking jigger you got there Paul
  2. I thought all R model cabs were air ride from the mid 70's onwards in Australia, when the cab was extended the cab went onto become air ride but I may have that wrong Paul
  3. Well I dunno much about it all but I bet Bob is feeling pretty bad and Jay handled it all fairly well I reckon Hope they sort the car out again quick enough and this doesnt knock Bobs confidence to much Paul
  4. I dont have much faith any of the show anywhere these days even here none of them have any spine and need to constantly wipe their chins for all shit that dribbles out their mouths And as far as the UK and the EU go I couldnt really care the UK screwed the rest of the commonwealth all those years ago and caused untold financial hardship for the rest of the commonwealth all so a greedy few could screw the rest for a bit more money well its still hurting Australia today and goes to show your close allies arent really your friends and will bend you over and give the rough end of the pineapple at a moments notice if big business tells them to But I think they maybe needed to think this thru a bit more before they voted Paul
  5. Hmmmmmmmmmmm seems some people like tell everyone else what to do reckon he should but stop trying threaten the rest of world and pull his head in Maybe he needs to sort his own crap in his own back yard before telling everyone else what to do this crap really gives me the jimmy brits Paul
  6. Strange how when people talk about history these days they tend to leave a lot of details out. I had heard stories about Stalin but never learned about it at school. A lot of people complain about modern media these days, but it is a lot harder for these types of things to go on these days but it still does. Paul
  7. Yes the people have spoken no doubt about that dont know how they are going to go unscrambling this egg though ???? Paul
  8. Wow learning heaps here and yes I think a lot of the so could neutral countries back then were making a bucket load at expense of the lives lost When I was a kid at school we were taught the Hitler got into power on the promise of a loaf of bread for every person because of the armistice signed after WW1 Germany had to repay the cost of the war they couldnt but the Allies demanded that they did Germany lost all its territories around the world after WW1 and with that they lost the ability to repay the money owed the German people were starving in the streets and Hitler promised them a loaf of bread each if he was in power The thing that I remember most about learning that as a kid who was the worse, the ones allowed Hitler to have the opportunity to get into power by been unrealistic with their demands or Hitler him self ????? Whats that saying something about "Evil only triumphs when good people stand by and do nothing" Funny thing when my boy was learning about WW2 at school they dont mention any of this anymore it's almost like people are trying to change history his teachers werent happy with me let me tell ya when my boy questioned them about this sorry way off topic Paul
  9. Yes Yes Yes and Yes again they will end up with the company they deserve the unfortunate part is when they really stuff the whole show and leave the workers are left to pick up the pieces Many years ago as a young lad I fixed lifts ( elevators ) in high rise buildings and a observation I made was every boss at the company was a lift mechanic and when the poo really hit the fan in a big way on a buildings lifts the big bosses would turn up and take their ties and jackets off and roll up their sleeves and help (they would actually do this) as we all worked together as one to fix the problem The effect that had on a customer was very apparent they felt they werent been fobbed off and fed a line of BS as the whole company was their doing their best to fix the problem . A customer watching this unfold in front of them even if we didnt sort the problem out that day they new we were all working to fix their problem and it always calmed the whole show down Step forward 10 years the Lift company gets sold to a Finnish company and they hired people like our blond friend above The new bosses answers were " well you boys keep on working away I'll take the customer out to lunch to try and smooth things over " It doesnt work the workers hate the boss because the boss has bailed and left them holding the baby the customer knows the boss is full of crap the company looses contracts because the customer is sick of the BS next thing the new boss bails takes a pay out and leaves behind un happy customers and workers So I guess what Im saying in a long winded way you are 100% correct with what you say Kevin Just one more thing way off topic but not really I hate this modern day BS when the appointed new boss says to the worker or the customer "we cant look back thats all in the past we have to focus on the future" what a fool statement is that if you have screwed up you need to look back to see when it was going right before you stuffed the show !!!!!! Its no rocket science yeah things change but the basics never do and if you stuff it well you gotta back to before it was stuffed and see what you did wrong Its like driving down the road and you make a wrong turn the further you keep going the wrong way the further you gotta back track to get going the right way Sorry way off topic but is it, if they really wanna sort their shit they need to look back to when it was going good see how stuffed the show rant over Paul
  10. The XB GT was a pretty cool machine but the one that every Ford fan wanted was the phase three XY GT HO they were the fastest 4 door production in the world for many years right up till the 90's worth a fortune now The XB was a big car by Australian standards and we never had the big block V8's out here ( we like to go around corners fast ) the old XA, XB, and XC feel like your driving a beached whale they sought of float along down the road I remember driving one around a cattle station and we were coming up on a gully with water in it so I gunned it thinking with all the windows down the passanger would be drowned wound my window up hit the water doing about 80 kmh or 55 MPH nearly face planted the wind screen them big fat mud guards ( fenders ) swallowed so much water But check this out if you have some time to kill sought of explains a lot about a our love affairs with cars, trucks, bikes what ever not a bad little movie and a bad ass XB coupe as well Paul
  11. In todays world the answer would be no BUT I think you may well be surprised how good you can get that cab to look with just blocks of wood and jacks and some time What ever you dont use a hammer you will stretch the steel and then it will be stuffed Paul
  12. Well I know why you had to wait so long to get it, some buggers to it the pub down under must have pretty thirsty by the time they got to the pub I would be tempted to not even paint it just leave it as is and enjoy it but its your jigger you do what ever you want Paul
  13. These amazing fuel figures they get in the US what are they and are they any better or are the manufactures just using the the emission rules to be a tight ass and cut costs ??? I just dont think they would be any better than out here our weights are lot heavier and we do travel a little slower but ?????????????? Paul
  14. If I have read this right this is just for running around town rubbish truck cement mixers etc if so 190 hp would be plenty in the city I would think Paul
  15. Well at least its a real photo and does look better than the KW job you put up a few days ago Paul
  16. LOL yeah got it pretty spot on right the older Volvo's G88 and G89 and what ever those little bubble cabs were what got Volvo established out here and they are still going I dont think anywhere near as good as they once were I hardly see any new Volvo trucks around come to think of it I cant recall seeing any new Volvos for some time I would bung up some pics but the forum would have a melt down and the boys from the US would pull their Dirty Harry revolvers on me and fill me full of lead LOL Paul
  17. Well they distracted you and me Swish LOL
  18. Will have to track down the when the Truck and Bus magazine did a road test on the MCR and we can have a look might take me a while to find it though They did road tests on just about all Mack products thru that time frame the new Super liner 400 V 8 pulling cattle road trains fuel figures were shocking but thats double cattles crates for you LOL Paul
  19. No doubt how good the Scania is they sold a bucket load out here and still are selling them and yeah I think they are all still running about Never seen one of those NZ ones with the axle forward And I didnt know the LK were a special still learning stuff Paul
  20. I doubt the US ugly plastic looking trucks get better fuel efficiency than any Australian truck just think about few things our fuel costs a lot more our trucks cost a lot more we travel on a lot more sub standard roads So I reckon our trucks would be just as good on fuel as any US truck and they look a bucket load better as well its almost like the US truck industry is trying to go out of business !!!! The answers simple stop telling people what they want and start asking !!!! I guarantee it works every time Paul
  21. well its taking some searching Im no good on this Face Book garbage but found some photos of the truck and Trans am (Hmmmmm that dont look like how you spell Trans am to me but I leave it for you blokes to sort out lol ) Yeah it's not same truck at all not even close but somebody has been having fun and I guess thats all that really matters Dunno about them hands in the picture on the taut liner looks like a five year old drew them LOL but hey its part of the fum of it all Do you blokes have taut liners in the US ???? cant say I have ever seen pictures of them over there ?? And a short video please excuse the dick heads you can hear in the back ground they are the reason I dont really go to shows to many knobs with a gut full of grog and a big mouth spoil the night for so many (wankers should stay at home or better still get a job and then they might actually appreciate what goes into these trucks and not make such stupid comments we are arent all dick heads like the ones you can hear out here ) Paul
  22. nah dont grab my fancy at all sorry KW your loosing the plot Paul
  23. Well it was mentioned out here in the land of OZ or as like to call it "This wide brown land " I had no idea what VJ day was had to Google it, we call it VP day Do gooders the world over are trying to get rid of of these days of importance stuff them I say if we forget history we are more likely to repeat the same mistake and to try and forget the men that gave us our freedom thats a disgrace If I remember I will share something I came across that a US pilot left a Australian pilot in New Guinea during WW2 the AIr Force in the Pacific was like no other fighting unit in any other theater of war before or since the allies shared the crews parts planes and worked as one whole unit there was officially the US air wing the RAAF RNZAF and the RAF and no doubt whole heap of others in the big mix but on the ground and in the air they all worked as one I dont think it has ever happened since In Australia we value our history of what our men and women did a lot higher I think than a lot of other countries ( I say I think I dont know but just what I read I tend to think we do) Theres a mob down Melbourne way fixing up a Liberator bomber and they had a open day to raise some funds I asked some questions about the US air wing in Europe as I new the losses were high due to day light bombing, if you dont know the US lost 79,000 air men in Europe alone I then I read on here how these types of things arent been taught at your schools thats a real shame I guess all I can say I hope you all teach your kids and grand kids all about what was given for the freedom at home as it appears from what I reading the government is not gunna teach them any of this at school such a shame to all the men that fought to free the world so that I can live in a free country thank you and to all the women who gave so much in so many different ways thank you as well Paul
  24. Gudday and hows it going mate dont let a couple of people sour your taste for the forum on a whole we are all fairly good bunch of blokes and you did well sticking up for your self and your family

You've done really well so far with your truck hardly any B81's were sold in Australia and if there was one around here it would be worth  a fortune

Funny thing about these collectors and fruit loops like us you can never win sometimes it seems its ok for some blokes to wheel and deal in old Macks on here and not others dunno but all the carrying on from some wasnt gunna do none of  us no favors

Best of luck with what ever you end up doing Im sure what ever decision you make will work out all ok in the end

Good luck at college we dont have college in Australia and schools and medical  are all free as well unless you choose to go private most dont

I yack with Tim Maikshilo  (hes on the forum) every week or so and all though we both speak the same language  there is some big differences between Australia and the US in health care and education he finds it hard to believe its all free over here and always has been at least all of my life

all the best mate and dont let these buggers get you down

I dont think there is much chance of that

    seeya
