Out with the shovel Swishy and start digging If anyone has ever dug a track tractor or dozer out with just a shovel you will have a idea on how long this takes, dont ask how I know this these blokes that reckon they can dig a truck out in a few hours must have only had one axle group sunk or they are a lot fitter than I have ever been LOL Paul -

but isnt the king pin on the grease plate far enough forward to put weight on steer Had a fella here the other day in KW loaded hay for out west and he had a long chassis and asked him why and he said it rides a lot smoother as most of his work is off road pulling road trains Not very long by US standards and even with this length it suits only up to 40 foot trailers when he runs as a single Paul
-
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
-
Theres a few of these plying the hwy's of Australia they are pretty flash looking jigger Paul
-
Why do people in America stretch the chassis out real long ??? Not been a smart ass but just wondering Paul

use a old cool power Mack and the mileage will be heaps better Glad its working out good for you Paul
-
Yeah I reckon for 100 tons we would want few more axles out here Funny thing is the first thing I thought of when I saw it on the trailer was "In the states the trailer would five times longer with Jeeps and springers or stingers or what ever you blokes call that thing out the back of the US low boys different rules for different parts of the world Paul

bugger me not a lot of steel there by the looks of it I have never had this happen or anything close to it happen I feel thats more good luck than good planning Yes Insurance companies can be a bigger problem than what actually happens good luck with it all Paul
-
time to pull the muffler off I reckon and have a look in there Paul
-
and some more if the exhaust manifold is leaking that should be a pretty big hint as to where the problem may lie

were the blades spinning with the motor running or did you make them spin by hand ??? Have you run the motor with the air intake hose of the turbo yet??? and if you have did it still smoke ??? I seem to recall some one on here had a collapsed inter cooler some time ago
-
with air cleaner hose of the turbo start it and run it and see with your eyes if the impeller is spinning Grey smoke generally means you have a air restriction on either the air going into the motor or the air going out It is most important you check it running with no air cleaner hoses connected to prove that it is on that side If that is done and it still blows grey smoke try the exhaust at the turbo just run it for a few seconds Once these two tests are done it will prove that these parts are or are not working right Paul
