I looked at mine and it isn't bent. It has been repainted and could have been straightened, who knows. Thanks to the pictures I now know that rubber bumpers go in the two holes.

It is hard to imagine anything Mack being ugly but you all are right about that hood.

I set out to adjust the noisy rocker arms today and I'm not sure which is the intake and which is the exhaust. It is not obvious by the location of intake or exhaust port or the injector. The pictures in the shop manual are not clear either at least not to me. Can somebody get me over the hump. Thanks.

Now that you mention it I didn't change anything with the heater motor. It works fine (so far).

When I did the conversion to eliminate the 12/24 series parallel switch I had to change the temp gauge and fuel gauge along with the sending unit. I got the gauges and matching sending unit from Summit Racing. They were SW which fit the holes and looks of the originals. I think I saw somewhere on here that SW made the gauges for Mack. Good Luck.

I agree, trailers seem to require more maintenance than anything else. I have a 24' enclosed with 15" tires. I had D load range tires about 8 years old. I bought a set of E load range tires at Hershey. While bringing the trailer from the storage lot (2 miles) to home to put the new tires on a tread separated. I guess I was lucky not to be on the side of the highway somewhere.
