  1. Very nice truck. Nice to meet a fellow 1960 B Model owner. I'm kind of in the same position as you just getting the truck on the road and working out the bugs.
  2. Here she is you can even get to "see dees" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuXbWxgEN3s
  3. Very unusual and super nice. Love to see the oldies get saved.
  4. It's a great show I've been every year and it gets bigger and bigger. They reported around 300 trucks last year. I'm trying to get the B Model ready. One item that needs attention is the wipers, just in case.
  5. Nice pictures. Thanks. I think I remember some of those trucks from the ATHS show in Greenboro a few years ago.
  6. I got a seat that looks the same from a parted out B Model several years ago. It needs to be cleaned up, painted and recovered. It should be a definate improvement over the standard bench seat. I'm not sure of the brand, I'll need to check. It's nice to have the battery cut off convientent. I put mine at the battery box and sometimes forget to turn it off along with the key switch. Next time in the garage the low air buzzer has been going for who knows how long.
  7. Very nice. Like the period upgrade driver's seat. Is that an electrical cut off just above the key switch?
  8. Now I see what's in the trailer, very cool wagon.
  9. Fine lookin young man. One day the torch will be his. Congrats.
  10. I called the museum a couple of weeks ago about a service manual for B Models. They have reprints and offered to mail at no cost but suggest a donation. Since I was going to be in the area a few days later I stopped by and picked up a copy and then went to the donation desk (don't remember the lady's name). I was sorry I didn't have more time to go through the museum but I had seen it at an event several years ago. Most of the people at the museum are retired Mack employees and are very egar to help. It was a pleasure dealing with them.
  11. I was going to ask where Beaver, PA got it's name, but now I know. HarryS
  12. I am in the process of installing a new bearing and race in the rear of 1960 B Model duplex. How is the best way to get the proper lash on the bearings? Thanks for your help. Harry S
  13. I guess I have the same problem with my '60 B-61 673. I have a thermostat and nowhere to put it. At first I thought the temperature gauge wasn't working as it did not move after 20 minutes of fast idle. After checking with a non contact the temp was only 105 at all points. The shutter air cylinder leaks and the air turned off, also the pivot point for opening and closing the shutters is binding. I think it is worn. Is there a replacement or rebuild for the air cylinder? Harry
  14. Looks great. I like the reaction you got at the cruise ins. I'm trying to get my B 61 ready for a local show and some of the cruise ins. Are you going to dyna mat the entire cab along with the floor? It seems like that would eliminate a lot of the noise and heat. Keep up the good work. Harry
  15. Thanks for the info. Nice set up for car haulin.
  16. I have a duplex direct transmission from a 1960 B Model with a pto. I don't want to seperate unless you have a block off plate. I'd really like to sell the complete set up. Harry S hscott1937@aol.com or 703-791-3278 (Manassas, VA)
