  1. No connection to me. Seen this cab for sale locally. Not sure how rare fibreglass cabs were? I can view for somebody and supply more pics and what not. In perth, Western Australia. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/1134333416?utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_content=app_ios&utm_medium=social&utm_source=sms
  2. Welcome back. That's a tough looking superliner. Keep chipping away at it mate.
  3. That's a beautiful truck you got there!
  4. Easier to undress with strings. Like unwrapping a present. Pulling band aids off just kills the mood (for them, not for us).
  5. Thanks for clearing that up swishy. I think the galvanised cabs were a lot better for rust. My dads 90 model has none. Yet my mates 94 t950 has rust in the firewall/floor area.
  6. I was wondering where my shoe laces have gone... them bloody beach bums are wearing them!
  7. Wasting no time on that! It will be an impressive truck once it's done. Good job!
  8. I like your thinking swishy. But I think most modern drivers will still complain cause the cup holders are not the correct size.
  9. Keep on keeping-on Mike. It's what you do best!
  10. Cheers Pauly, I enjoyed the read. What I could never figure out is how they fit a 19l cummins under that short bonnet?
  11. What can I say... sure beats a shyster!
  12. I read a post earlier from this site regarding 38k anti sway. Was told they are near 44k capacity. So it might ring true for the 44k anti sway being close to 50k. Best to check your spring for a part number. 44k anti sway is 4QK4005A. You will find it on the T section at the end of the spring.

Bob, that's sad news and on Christmas too. I think it's good to get things off your chest, so don't feel like you have burdened us. Best wishes, Tim.
  14. Merry Christmas guys. Eat, drink and be merry!
  15. I'm doing the same to mine. Most Aussie Macks had air start and sure enough mine has been converted to elec start. If you get any diagrams post it up, I got a basic one from a place but wouldn't hurt to have more.
  16. I remember my old welder stopped working. Wire wouldn't feed or anything, but the fan was on. I looked at new ones for a bit, but thought I'd have my old one looked over first. So off I take it to the welding shop, guy plugs it it and plays with power settings and pow, it starts welding. Turns out I had one of the power switches in between settings! To look on the bright side it was an easy fix.
  17. Who put that thing there? Well, ya gotta sit back and have a chuckle about something like that. Glad you found the problem.
  18. I've experienced this before. Pulling old tyres off and putting new ones on... You have to jack it up higher cause there is more rubber on the tyre. Only kidding... Sort of. How easy/hard were they to pull off the truck?
  19. Yeah actually the cab is growing on me a bit more. Im disappointed to hear that they are importing the cab and that it has a plastic dash.
  20. Not sure of price for this model, but some comparisons. Legend t950 was $400,000. Mate bought a t909 for $385,000. I can get a flat roof k200 for $260,000. I reckon this would be $280-300. Cab looks best on the sar hidden behind air filters I think.
  21. That's a lot of coin for that! I mean you could buy 2 landcruiser Utes for that price! Its obviously targeted at executives, cause sometimes they need a ute... To carry their wallets!
  22. I agree Bob, nothing wrong with a good Ol Big Mac! In moderation of course!
  23. I think Mack are happy to use the reputation of the old trucks to sell new ones. But to actually supply parts and service to the older ones and they seem ashamed that they ever built them. My 2c.
