  1. Found on ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mack-Truck-Fiberglass-Sun-Visor-MCV4-MC2-Superliner-New-Old-Stock-Vintage/263332097821?hash=item3d4fd0ef1d:g:3WIAAOSwA~VaEL3V&vxp=mtr&autorefresh=true
  2. Found this video of truck pulls with several Superliners, including 2 very fine ones at 6:00 and 7:02.
  3. I've seen that done when someone had a bad rear end and they had a good axle sitting out back.
  4. That's exciting when you get framework standing up!
  5. When I was a kid we all looked up to Evel. I've seen a couple of documentaries about him recently and he was really a jerk. That's really sad to hear since he was such a hero to us.
  6. Honestly, with those things bouncing away I don't know how you could see anything.
  7. Billy, was that one of the things that Jifflox made? My dad had a small terminal in Jacksonville FL in the early 70's and I remember seeing some of those you're talking about. I don't know if they were CF trucks that I saw.
  8. Swishy, that twin steer is a fine looking truck.
  9. There's an MH grille on ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mack-Cabover-Grille-MR/292331509099?hash=item441050d56b:g:PDgAAOSw8b1aC-DN&vxp=mtr&autorefresh=true
  10. I always want to make some remark but you probably have already heard them all.
  11. Has it been smoking or leaking oil? It's possible you scored the liners when it overheated and now it's using a lot of oil. If that's the case you need an overhaul.
  12. I grew up around trucks and always wanted to drive one for a living. When I got into high school I took diesel mechanics at a vo-tech school so I would fully understand the engine, driveline, etc. When I graduated, I took a job at a Cat dealer working on truck engines since no one would hire an 18 year old to drive. Later on I got to do some OTR driving and found out that I actually enjoyed turning wrenches more than driving. What Mike says about opportunity is very true.
  13. He says he just had the lights and tires checked out too.
  14. The chrome--axles, intake pipes, man that thing is beautiful!
  15. Looks like it's in good shape!
  16. Three thumbs up! I was going to say two but it's looking better than that.
  17. So will you splice the rails or replace the entire length?
  18. Ol2, is that a 4-71? Is it easy to get parts for the 2 cycle DDs?
  19. She was hiding behind the truck.
  20. One of these days I'm going to have to visit the eastern half of PA...you have a lot of history there. That Rockville bridge sounds pretty neat.
  21. Glad you don't have to pull liners!
  22. That thing does look like a beast.
  23. Sorry if this truck has already been posted on BMT, but I saw it at the custom car show in February here in Columbus. It's a Ford body "F1350" stretched onto a 6x6 Mack military chassis. He did a nice job and it's a cool truck!
  24. If you get Hulu Plus on the interwebs (costs about $10/month), they carry Pickers.
  25. That really is a shame...preserving history is an admirable venture.
