  1. The truck is looking great so far! Nothing like getting all the rust and crud cleaned off and a new coat of paint.
  2. That's what I don't miss...fuel jelling up in the primary filter, having to heat up the air dryer exhaust so it would stop leaking, pulling the main line off the compressor and pouring alcohol in it to melt the ice in the system. The worst was bringing a truck into the shop and laying underneath while it thawed...ice cold water with salt mixed in dripping on me.
  3. I'm stripping down my donor cab, getting ready to pull it and send it to the body shop. I removed the dog today, seems kind of symbolic to remove the dog from an old Mack truck. I'm looking forward to the day when I can put it back on.
  4. I like the stacks! Good-looking truck.
  5. Always saw photos of this truck, had no idea it was Cat powered. Is this the only 1693 powered H in the world?
  6. Dam nice photo! (sorry, couldn't resist.)
  7. I'm sorry to hear that your brother got hurt. Some photos of the R model would generate some interest in it.
  8. Those of us in central Ohio have no knowledge of snow like you NH guys do. Nice plow setup!
  9. That's true! I have a truck maintenance book that belonged to my grandfather in the 50's and it has a ton of details on rebuilding components that people wouldn't even consider these days.
  10. Thank you for the kind words! I really like your F model...my dad had 13 F models when I was a youngster.
  11. He is a professional artist, although drawing trucks is not his specialty...he does a lot of abstract and geometric designs. Thank you for the kind words!
  12. My son drew this as my Christmas present. You Aussies should appreciate it...at the bottom it says F786ST.
  13. Any idea what it sold for?
  14. That Mac is a nice-looking trailer.
  15. Merry Christmas everyone!
  16. We always tightened the slack until the shoes touched the drum, then backed off 1/4 turn. I don't have experience with adjustable anchor pins, but it sounds like Swishy has.
  17. That is a beautiful truck! My grandfather had a 3000...it's always been one of my favorite cab styles.
  18. Now that's what I call a square box cab! Nothing like the White 3000.
  19. I have bought tires from them...been very pleased with customer service and pricing.
  20. A decent-looking LJ would sure make a nice-looking grain hauler.
  21. Beam me up Scotty!
  22. Who relined your shoes? I'm eventually going to have to have that done.
  23. Nothing like that feeling when it fires up! Keep at it.
  24. If I wasn't knee deep in a project, I would be interested in this--looks like a nice truck! https://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-MACK-RS795LST-Extended-Hood-Model-with-Live-Hydraulics-Collectors-Edition/122861137500?hash=item1c9b182e5c:g:yrwAAOSwxzdaMrwH&vxp=mtr
