  1. So what's a road goat...a whitetail?
  2. Definitely looks good!!
  3. 7.75 mpg! That's bad...I thought 9 mpg in my truck was bad.
  4. My dad's F models used to rust out above the step like that one is.
  5. Nice pictures! Which park is that?
  6. You mean Wolley and Kcam?
  7. Amen to that...I'll be looking for some good 10-20s in a year or so.
  8. St. Johnsbury had a terminal here in Columbus Ohio...I used to do their daily repairs back in the mid 80's. I believe the local trucks they had here were U models.
  9. Nice looking motor! With that block heater, looks like you're planning to run this truck in the winter. Will that paint on the manifold hold up to exhaust heat? Is it just hi-temp paint?
  10. The detail on those is amazing! How long did it take to build this one?
  11. Do you think it's from a Mack? I don't need it; does anybody want it (free, you pay shipping)?
  12. 66, you do some nice work! If the Trajan doesn't use an abrasive wheel, what type of wheel does it use?
  13. This was in a pile of parts in one of my trucks...it could be from a GMC as the guy I bought the truck from was also restoring one. I'm thinking vacuum, maybe a 2-speed rear end shifter?
  14. That's a great website. Looks like some quality work you've done on those trucks.
  15. Definitely looks like a good one to save! I hope things go well getting it back together and on the road.
  16. Yeah, and when the mower hits it the pieces could come out and hurt someone. Anybody who would leave a post like that should be smacked.
  17. The 6BT Cummins is an excellent motor.
  18. What is the 34 years you're talking about?
  19. A couple of very sharp looking trucks on the ATHS website. There's also a '53 Sterling chain drive listed. https://aths.org/advertising-with-aths/AdBuilder/List
  20. The tractor is very nice, and that dump looks great!
  21. The ad is gone, so it's probably sold. However, on the same site there's an MH with a 3406 in it...looks pretty good. https://nmi.craigslist.org/hvo/d/1987-mack-semi-tractor/6513956173.html
  22. In '81 or '82 we had a customer who bought a new Blue Bird Wanderlodge RV with a 210 hp 3208. A few months later, Cat released the turbo (250 hp) 3208 and when said customer heard about that, he brought the RV to us and had us swap the motor so he'd have the 250 hp. He was a lot happier with the power. You're right though, if you put it in a big truck it would be a dog.
  23. If you ever run across a 12-71 that you don't want in your garage, I'll take it.
