  1. Bro Its an oring! You can improvise with A good RTV silicone sealant you'll have to drain and dri everything ! put rtv on each bolt as you install them!
  2. I have suggestion! Convert to a 32 litre pan and just replace the oil pickup!
  3. Ahh I see! Very confused by this! that shit should be being filtered out! to my way of thinking! not returned to the fuel tank! what ever! hope it stays running good for you that's all you can hope for!
  4. Unfortunately true at least you got a bit of a warranty! That said, the parts from Volvo/ Mack are sourced from anywhere in the world its a United nations engine ! That pump may have been made at the very same place and you got a bad one! Thanx for posting a fix! But where is the soot coming from or did I read something wrong? you have two different issues here! ? Just sayin!
  5. If you remove the valve covers and pull the injector hold downs you will see fuel on top of the injector ! this will cost nothing to do just a little time! that way you can confirm what Mack Pro is saying! just remember to torque them back in if you find nothing!
  6. I when out on a service call twice to the same truck on its side same dump trailer! To cut the fifth wheel off second time was able to drive it back to the shop! Fun stuff 🤨
  7. Bro post your year and model in a new thread we may be able to sort you out!

    V8 Theropy

Bob you may be right about the x15 However Every time I hear one of these take off from a stop it sounds like they are coming apart under the hood! They sound ugly to me ! Don't know what it is some sort of fuel knock or something! I'm not a huge Cummins Fan having had to deal with there political jargon if your running one of there engines and there is and issue with it! We had a few Cummins powered trucks and if you don't have a Cummins trained Dude on staff For that particular engine to bandaid the thing your likely to get stiffed if you got a warranty concern! So the Mom is scheduled to come out of the Mash unit this week Maybe and straight to a care home if she don't catch another disease be for she gets there! here's for hoping!
  9. I’m sure there are some! How ever find em!
  10. You would be hard pressed to find any one with your work ethic these days! Very very few and far between!
  11. trying to be optimistic! Joe! How ever! Slackurds yup known my share!
  12. You did! There may be an off chance the injectors could be faulty however I am now quite distanced from this now it’s been a year away from all the political bs and rumours of failures that said Cummins isx used to have issues with carbon guess its possible on the Volvo trash as well! just sayin!
  13. No comment!said my piece earlier! Experience means a lot!
  14. That means we is old folks 😂
  15. Better late than never bud! Thanks 🙏
  16. Yup good on you for following up!
  17. And don’t try and set like a cat you need to do it on each cyl in firing order! just sayin!
  18. Yup agree with Joe re check the set ! If the valves are rocking on six ! Set one! And proceed thru the thru the firing order! It’s not magic just simple 4 stroke dynamics!

    Help

Frame to starter ground hooked up?
  20. Joe If you look back on most history of the mack line up most of the large off hyw units had an off set cab The CL350 and a lot of the mining trucks had off set cabs so in my opinion you are correct! also the top forward facing windsheild on the Cl 350 and some mining cabs I think was borrowed from the ship building archives in my opinion!
  21. Do so thats Great we will all learn something
  22. check the coolant level!
  23. check your coolant level!
  24. I think you'll be fine the heat install is probably a good thing as it will likely shrink tight! the proper tool for this pushes the wiper and the seal in one swoop! The ring will be pushed in by the flywheel as long as the dust lip clears the flywheel all will be good! Back in the day they had a rather useless ring installer had four adjustable tabs on it for installing it the way you have done!
  25. Good job bro never tried doing either of those methods nice to know it worked! Just a side note the fly wheel will push the wear ring in a tad so make sure your seal is in deep enough that it doesn't rub the dust lip! the other worry is the wear ring being heated you would have no sealant under the ring! we had one of these cause a three time re and re in the worst model flat fender RD 12 speed due to the ring slipping on the crank once the engine warmed up due to a poor wiper ring install! Just sayin!
