  1. To be honest I only ever worked on one of these ! So I cant tell you Much How ever I see know reason you couldnt reseal it in frame getting the seal in and out may be tricky thou! You'll likely have to fab up some special toolage!
  2. Hi is the clutch brake mounted on the counter shaft? do you have the seal?
  3. Joey a guy would think if he pu on a spark or arcing it would be a power wire !
  4. Agree being kept in the dark is good some times! 😂 Thanks for posting your fix! Definitely something to try if your search for clues! Turn the lights out!
  5. One could argue that Volvo is a safer truck than others Cause it has an Air bag! After all it is a Girly looking unit! That said back in 2004 when Mack had all the turbo and fuel line issues I was having the same thoughts Go thru my head ! would like to have seen the stats on how many truck fires happened over that Feasco! GONG Show!
  6. Ahh bummer! Sorry bud eBay?
  7. check these guys out! PAI Online (paiindustries.com) that part number comes up in their system!
  8. I have both setups in my box so handy I even made an adaptor for MP engines from an old oil pressure sensor! its nice to have a 2-3 inch pipe nipple and coupler to change up to an elbow of some sort there . that way you can use plastic or wire braid or what have you on the hose to the gauge remove the cap from the crank case breather for easier access! I have a long hose to monitor from the cab when driving! I use this setup for oil preasure fuel preasure and air! 8ft of 1/4 single braid hose ! handy for most all testing !
  9. yup good thoughts on that there! But some people think differently ! My honda is auto trans they recommend only change the oil every 50000 k All the oil oil is never removed there is no way to flush the trans and torque From my experience with the product you need to follow this drain and fill rescheme or you end up with a trans with sluggish shifts ! So accentually you do a half change every fifty thou!
  10. Yup more the marrier ! Jump in with both feet let us know when you touch bottom! 😎

I also built an 83 yota 4x4 rock crawler with my son and we married frame parts from a Pristine two wheel drive with a blown engine to the 85 or so club cab 4x4 ! of coarse a lot of after market gear went into this unit as well it was fun to build ! tons of after market stuff out there for the 4X4 yota crowd!

Problem is with spending even 2000 bucks on a frame if someone runs into you your vehicle is worth barely a 1000 in the eyes of the insurance criminals!

Joey about 20 years back I bought a project truck for my daughters first vehicle ! 83 yota 4x4 had the same or worse issues I had a old 70's f150 frame layin around the claim. I cut the yota frame off at the back of the cab and I married that rear section to the yota by way of an out sert that extended to the front cab mount just behind the front rear shackle! took a lot of slicing and messing about to the ford frame but the job turned out great ! bought the truck for 750 sold it for 4300 . I also built a flat deck for it as the box had alot of rust ! I bolted the outsert to the oem frame and the flanges were a snug fit to the top and bottom! Just another avenue of repair if you got a good cab and old f 150 frame laying about! 😂
  15. My god couldn't imagine running the Detroit powered unit all day in a field U would be def in no time! My Dad had and Alice chamber's hd5 cat 2 71 it was noisy as all get out! Nice group of pics! Nice stash of tractors !
  16. Yup been there done that one too! Even had that happen on a tractor under a loaded B train! Just another experience! Managed to chain the axle and get it to the shop as well! Saved a tow bill anyway!
  17. Yup agree there Paul ! A lot of guys are just pin to pin and assume the trailer they slam under has brakes and everything is tight and set! in defense of your situation there if you are travelling on back roads and dog trails a lot shit can happen a lot quicker Also have seen where on Five spoke hubs the webs can break off on the back side and you would not see them broken or could happen while in transit ! Seen this happen more than once ! When ever I have wheels off these I tend to look for cracks on the flange ! I am Not a fan of five spoke hubs! A six spoke is more durable That said However ! You run what you brung!
  18. This comment is true to some degree ! Just to add to that there are a fare few steering wheel holders out there that haven't a Clue what there looking for OR at! I suspect half don't even check the oil and coolant!
  19. check your fuel pressure should be a min 15 psi 25 - 30 is normal!
  20. So leaving a little more info MAY help ! Like what model what year RED OR GRAY engine color Will even help believe it or not!! ! A little history also helps in diagnosing! Just sayin!

    V8 Theropy

Yup you bet its a sweetie! Got it back up and running yesterday seems to be all healed up I may tweek the timing a little in the coming weeks It is a little to smokey on startup when its cold for my liking ! spec was 17 on this I may bump to 20 just cause! we will see want him to go pull some weight with it before I make the call on this! So therapy is over for awhile for me it was fun while it lasted ! Mean while Mom got the Norwalk virus so Now she's in isolation with three other lady's in the same room shes worse off now than she went in in some ways! Un fortunately that's how it goes when your in an over crowded hospital!
  22. So not being a Guru on this How ever Our guys used to look at the fuel preasure to the 7th the reg to that injector would go fubar and need replacing or shimming could this be the case here? just asking! MP OXY ?
  23. Bro the oil/ coolant will be coming from the exhaust or the turbo! the other check is the turbo its self remove the inlet elbow and look inside! In my mind we can't ignore the coolant push totally! EGR cooler! We asume it is oil we see How ever is it?
  24. Yup they got enough to build and sell it to you they need to back up there warranty and get the parts ! There was a time when Mack on the odd occasion would pull from assembly line parts to get you going we had it done for us on several occasions! When Mack was Mack !The turbo feasco back in the early 2004 was an example!
  25. I also believe that they moved the fuel pickup and return to the mid tank location for that reason also! When this setup came out on the top mounted in and out there was a lot of grief with it! just my opinion
