  1. yup would be nice!
  2. AHH ! Good to know!
  3. yup MT did all the R/D on that project there You cant go to far wrong following that program ! Your other option is to replace the cam with the AC cam which would Probably cost the same or more! and just as much work! The key is to let the dam thing breath thou the whole manifold setup is VERY restrictive!
  4. low fuel pressure code?
  5. The heads are the same!
  6. TheY run @70 psi or so i think you have to by the orings separately! I believe PAI offers a kit
  7. These look like a a fine unit However I can see horrendous outlay on maintenance Due in part to sloppy operation practices people not spending the time to wash up and clean the units after each run! these would be a poor investment in the area where I live anyway! guys just don't give a shit!
  8. Well if its FINALLY heading in the right direction Ya might just as well make it perfect!
  9. I would start with re oringing the split cyl you can do this From the back side of the trans IN (THE TRUCK) by removing the 4 bolt cap (3/8 bolts) with the round cylinder on it! sliding everything off in order pay attention to how to take it off as there are several pieces inside! Just my observation the regulators rarely screw up !
  10. injector cup issue is my first guess
  11. As Mack Tech mentioned I agree with him if it were mine With the steel rollers its likley worth replacing all the rollers How ever If You are paying some one to do this job and are expecting a warranty your at their mercy some what and should error on the side of caution! not replacing the rollers on the steel is a judgment call by whom ever is looking at them if they are all scratch up and scuffed and it is clear to see they need to all be changed ! If they choose to ignore the obvious because your trying to save a buck and don't care about the out come then you could pay twice its a roll of the dice , The ceramic( usually) if they break only effect The one cyl for the most part ! ion
  12. what color is the smoke if any ? should be gray blue eye burning type smoke if compression related. should be gray black fuel related in most cases!
  13. You used to be able to buy a kit fuel lines ar not nessary on older engines we do Rollers only the two on the offending cylinder and the eup roller if nessary you also need magnets to hold the lifters up!you need to determine if our have ceramic or steel rollers on the lifters!
  14. Just be aware that you need A press to get the gear off the cam if your back yarding this ! And if its Eteck pay attention to the cam Key they can be off set depending on the horsepower! If it is a standard E7 They may be quoting you an oil pump in that price as these can become ruined with all the filings from the cam grindings!
  15. Run some standyne fuel conditioner thru with the fuel!
  16. If you had a fleet they may consider what you speak of how ever if your just Joe one hit wonder Not so much!
  17. I asked that question because I thought It maybe a torque limit switch holding him out on power However I have Never layed eyes on one of these transmissions so Can't make that recommendation With confidence !
  18. a I must say 6sp is an odd trans to have in front of a 350! could it be may be a 9 speed?
  19. which trans do you have?
  20. Dealers have very little to say since big bro learned to speak Swedish!☹️
  21. yup they want to may money how ever! you also get a so a solid outcome with a warranty ( for what its worth ) for your extra zillion dollars! Again the truck is close to the end of its DESIGNED life span ! 2004- 2010 . 10 years . 2010- 2018 5 year life span! 👿
  22. with set resume the switches!
  23. Well in one small defense of the the guy/s that did the job I have had and personally seen where after a cam job several times where the engines had an erratic surge or pulse at idle and could find no reason for it a variance of 25 -50 rpm with in a few seconds @5 second intervals very annoying how ever the engine ran fine otherwise! The only thing that was replaced was the cam and lifters which would lead one to believe it has some thing to due with the cam grind! just saying! How ever none proven! Like I said I AM Tapped Check the Snap-on truck see if the back ordered magic wands have come in yet !☹️
  24. yup agree bottom end on these is not to bad its the heads and all the bolt ons that have the issues!
  25. Also you will note that you have a slight puffing coming from that fill tube indicates to me you have a cyl not sealing well, crack some fuel lines and see if you can change the demeanor of that puff ! If you have the rigging to do a cyl cut out test with the mack software . Just a thought!
