If I was you first check that your throtle lever is going to full fuel ( Breaking over the spring at the end of stroke!) make sure your stop lever is going full OFF ! and check that you have ( at least) 25 PSI fuel preasure UNDER LOAD! before getting carried away with testing any more the shim you added should have increased the smoke on take off some! A whisper of gray black smoke on take off would be ok in my view, however some may disagree! Also the little slave should be fully retracted by 25 psi boost! There is also a cap on the opposite rack that (MAY ) have a small piston and a light spring under it pull it and check the piston is not binding under that cap!!

Splitting hairs guys 😉 however I shoot for 650 when I can get it, not a huge deal however I think they sound best at anywhere between 600 and 700! Also the straight pump has a twin pointer! valves set in a different spot than the timing !The timing is set on a different pointer

I have seen these full to the point of not being able to spin! That cartage was heavy, This customer was so lax on his oil changes Because the engine was" leaking so much oil " he decided it was not necessary to change the oil or filters! amazingly 25 thou plus hours and still going! MACK Tough!

So just to update this thread with the repair! After making all the faults gone on this unit including a faulty out of the box engine brake valve GRRRR Did that job Twice ! Here in lied the issue , if your vehicle is Equipped with GPS you MAY have to disconnect it prior to a forced or in cab Regen !!! Yup a week long fight for a stupid addon GPS ! quite the piss off! Don't expect Tech Tool to help ya on this It will give you ZIP ! Just something to be aware of to try if your working with this tecked out crap!

The Centrimax is perfectly engineered to remove the AI engines high soot Yup and in typical Volvo Fashion they only used the excellent centramax half a year on the MP7 and then deleted it! Baphoons! Another Good Mack design swept under the carpet by the Volvo people!

Well if you use Pros flat rate time they roughly charged you 290 bucks an hour to change the filter stand ! nice shop rate ! 😡Wish we could charge that Id be rich! Quite honestly its a shitty job much like everything else on these engines shit in the way,, cramped area to work in. (Cramped areas) We just did an EGR Cooler on an 8 yesterday we tried a different method rather than removing the turbo and stuff we jacked up the front of the engine worked fairly well , saved breaking turbo studs an all the other screw ups that go along with that job ,cut the time by a third or so Worth trying in my mind!

I found the cab jacks to be borderline for the job once the jockey box was loaded these were barely adequate Don’t think the engineering people took in to account the extra weight people put were carring in the boxes!

Kevinnnnn! Does it have an electric primer? Were Trying to establish are these guys more forward thinking than Volvo ? I think hes talkin about the cab! If I were to like CAB overs and I am not a fan however ! I think the MH was the best cab over ever made by anyone. Beauty is in the Eye of the beholder! Had they provided a proper Cab jack with an MH it would have been perfect! For a cabover!🙄😁

Yup Bull ! it seems Very little is standardized they are for ever changing shit on a moments noticed its Rampant thru out the industry ! I was doing a truck inspection on a 2018 Pete the other day and was admiring at the spring brake cans on it You can no longer install a PIGGY back on the new brake pots they are one piece no clamps Period so now instead of 15 min to a half hour to change a brake pot Its now has become necessary to replace the whole thing! AND heaven for bid you have the right clevis for what ever slack adjuster is installed ! Worst of all got me paying attention to our own new trucks AND GUESS WHAT We are using this stuff as well! Nothing is left untouched these days! IMPROVEMENTS ? OR Captivation At Its Finest! So if you got to go out on the road to change a brake pot you better take half the parts department with you cause your gona need something you don't got! As well as a Grinder to adapt the rod bla bla bla ! New Rules of engineering ! Sorry that's an old rule revisited ! If ya got something simple that works ! Redesign it to be over complicated or unreliable !

If you Go By the marks ( marked) = set valves 1-6 5-2 3-4 on the flywheel and use overlap on the opposite cyi for checking your self you will be spot on period!

WE will check it again thou it weren't throwing codes for any other vehicle issues only engine emission crap! the last thing was a low pressure issue that has been corrected with the new regulator were now left with this engine brake code ! Start the REGen it ramps up the rpm for minute then gives up in typical fashion and the usual The BLANK STARE from The tech tool! Instead Saying something useful like this regen was terminated BECAUSE BLA BLA! No reason Just gives up! and leaves you guessing Grasping At Straws, Bunch of Crap! ALWAYS leaves you Guessing and throwing Parts at Shit!

Sorry I was abrasive but follow the directions bring it up to the valve set marks on the flywheel valves on the rock on the opposite cylinder you adjusting 1-6. 5-2 3-4 adjust the valves to 16 intake 24-26 exhaust if it has jakes usually 15 or 22 and as the post above suggest check the rocker shaft for aplugs missing!Hopfully you haven’t ruined it.

Hey Guys anyone Know if A 2018 MR mp7 will hold out on a Regen with an active Engine brake Fault ! WE have been Fighting with this asshole thing for a Week! various Codes all satisfied now! Have replaced ahi , number 7 and the regulator tweeked to over min spec No Rat Chewed Wires, still shuts down on a forced gen 1 minute into it Only fault active is the engine brake! No Brake / Valve in stock! Just asking E service is A joke!

Agree with tech I would replace all the plastic line in that circuit And the orings on the jumper line between the heads they sometimes cause grief as well!
