  1. They show some front springs also. I wonder if they have tapered leaf for the front of a B model? Wouldn't that just be a FINE upgrade over that monster spring pack? I was able to blow up the pictures and doesn't look like anything but stock springs. Ugh.
  2. Hmmm, that's a thought.
  3. Yup. I'm good today. Must be some kind of update?
  4. I just had to do some security "pick 9 numbers" thing yesterday to get logged in?
  5. Well haven't had issues with logging in every time now. But, yesterday I had to so some kinda of random security thing? Came up on my phone also? Had to enter 9 random numbers? WTH was that?
  6. Karen started with a HUGE bag and it was gone in about a minute. Doesn't take long throwing by the handfuls. As long as you make sure it gets to the curb you typically don't have to worry much about kids in the street. Yup, the air horn gets a workout(sometimes have to wait for the air to build back up)! My horn is pretty loud and the spectators are either giving a thumbs up or holding their ears LOL!! Karen wants her own cord so she can make noise too.
  7. Karen goes to the parade, I haven't since I marched in it in the early 80's. I have videos my dad made back in the 70's, all on 8mm, which is when the parade was ALL THAT. I'm sure the candy throwing would be highly restricted with all the officials around. The Stow/Kent parade was not quite so intense, but fun. Having your kids eat candy thrown from a car would likely not go well in today's world. With all the crazies out there!(not including me). Here's a story for the century. I've watched the old movies a time or two. About 10 yrs ago I met a fellow at the machine shop I use to do my motor work. A new customer was there with his '68 Firebird convertible. He bought it new, was perfect shape. I noticed it had a very, very unique hubcap on it. My mind wandered and I asked if he ever was in the parade. He said he had carried people before. I dug out the videos and sure enough, from 1976 my dad captured him carrying a character(had those same hubcaps on it back then). I made a quick copy of that section and gave it to him. Small world.
  8. Neat. I kinda wish I could get a few trucks together and run the parade. I know Karen used to love doing the Stow/Kent parade with the NEO chapter years back. Never saw anyone so anxious to take get up so early and ride in the Mack? LOL! I think it was throwing the candy out to the kids that got her going. They told us not to, but if they don't catch you??
  9. I remember all the videos that were posted by dealerships with cars that HAD to have the motor blown up during cash for clunkers. Just sickening.
  10. Found a nice original lens on Ebay for $19 with free shipping. It's on the way. Another seller had a bunch of newer replacements for $15, but $7 shipping! Since I just replaced both bulbs, I shouldn't have the chance to break the glass for quite some time.
  11. 6" I will check around for new also.
  12. Ok, in my clumsy stupidity I dropped and cracked one of my lenses yesterday when I was changing a bulb. Ugh. Anyone have a lens?
  13. I'd have to look at home for specs(I think it is around .016 Int/.024 exh), someone should chime in soon. Determining which valve is pretty easy: The exhaust valve lines up with the exhaust manifold, the intake valve will line up with the intake port.
  14. Any time I see discussion of museums all I hear is doom and gloom. They are just a money pit that has to be kept up by donations from people with the means to do it. If you walk down the street and ask people for donations for something like this, commonly they will just laugh at you. In today's society, do they want to waste money on parking a bunch of 100 yr old "junk"? Nope. Sad truth. Most city's can't pay for the things they really need, so there is no extra money for museums. I do hope something good does come for them.
  15. Mine was 1" taller then the Mack frame, so I just clamped the top rail and left the bottom be what it was. Looks good. I loved mine just after I put the POR15 on it. Then 6 months later it looked like crap. Oh well, it's no show winner anyway.
  16. Looks good. My frame came from a '91 Ford also. With as much wiggle on the frames, the closest measurement came out near perfect slip fit. With twelve 5/8" bolts on each side, plus all the other misc stuff bolted through it is not coming apart any time soon.
  17. One of my favorites is Pale Rider. I can watch it over and over. Not that others aren't good, but I just like this one. Throw in Breakheart Pass with Bronson. Ya, another one I can watch over and over.
  18. This morning I had to sign in again on my phone.
  19. My phone, home and work computer did it to this site only. Everything else comes up normally.
  20. Now, I should clarify, like this morning here at work. I logged in my system, brought up internet and had to log on BMT. I usually don't have to do that daily. Only on Monday since I clear my computer on Friday night and shut it down. My phone is always on, it's always logged in to BMT. Yesterday and this morning I had to log on again, even with the box checked to stay logged on. Hmmmmm.
  21. Anyone else having issues staying logged in? Even on my phone, even with the box checked "stay logged on", I have to sign in every time I visit BMT? What happened in the last couple days? Is the site going through maintenance or something where it blows everyone off?
  22. I only have the Rustoleum number RLL-257384 I used to paint my 237.
  23. I dumped my Photobucket acct, so I can only load from my smart phone(motorola Droid). If you load too many, you can over run your allotment and won't be able to load more. Linking them from a host site is the better way, but like when PB screws you over and tries to strong arm you into paying $400/yr to host pictures..... you dump your acct and you lose all your photos on ALL your previous posts. Ugh.
