  1. Picture out in the sun showing the air start tank too:
  2. Well, took pics for the tanks, but you can see the new mud flaps. Turned out nice. I used 5/16" stainless button head bolts, shimmed them away from the fender on the inside about 1/2" so they hang straight with s/s fender washers then a s/s washer and s/s nylok to hold them on.
  3. I would fathom a guess it all depends on the arm length and where the bag mounts for what air pressure it takes to get it to support a given load. Shorter length(leverage)=higher pressure.
  4. I've seen pics of a few Macks with three sticks. I have three sticks in my B61. It's a triplex and I put a 4spd aux behind it when I stretched the truck. The 4spd is run in Direct for the most part. The ratio's are the same as the compound so it is redundant if you try to shift it going down the road. I use it for the deep under and the extra OD on the highway.
  5. If I got stainless panels, it would stay shinier, longer. Only bad part of polishing it..............is you have to KEEP polishing it..........
  6. I agree, depending on how much air in the bags and where it is located on the truck, it could get leaned on pretty hard in certain scenarios. Only looks like 1/4" wall? With the leverage and the side load from turning I bet it really works that joint pretty hard.
  7. Oh, I've thought of stripping the whole thing and polishing it! The diamond pleat would be cool too. I started to price that stuff and decided that $50 in flat aluminum will due for now.
  8. If the original poster doesn't reply, I have interest in it Morgan.
  9. "This thing goes on the end to make it quiet like in the movies"......................ya, okay dokey. Wonder where I can get some of them silver bullets?? Maybe the Lone Ranger has a few left??
  10. I was in CT for business and went past the old GAOT museum location. I pointed it out to my co-worker. Too bad I missed it by a few years even at that point.
  11. I was going to try to come down, but with the rain/wind/cold and working on getting my bunk back together I stayed home. I used to be a regular to the Hebron show years ago.
  12. Gee, he got himself an A K 4 7.............not like the AK fortyseven most gun enthusiats have............. "Conrad Dragonlord" sounds like a real badazz with his mom's scarf hiding his face... I wonder if she will be supplying milk and cookies at the gun range? Thinking something along these lines:
  13. Got my flaps. Cut them to fit yesterday. Going to get some stainless hardware to hang them. I'll post pics.
  14. Well it took two years and lots of prodding to get my friend to finally start on making the pieces. The g/f was getting impatient about having to sleep sitting up in the passenger seat. Making the corner piece was the biggest deal, the door was simple. The corners are aluminum extrusions and took some finesse to fabricate from pieces and weld together into something straight and usable. I was pleasantly surprised when my friend handed me the piece and it fit right up and looks good. The only thing left is to get the skin back on the rear. I have a piece cut for the open section, but after looking at the drivers side it looks kinda rough and since I'm fixing it I might as well fix that sheet too. Need to stop and get another sheet of aluminum and shear it to size. Once that is on I will scuff it down and paint the whole thing. Won't be any show winner, but after what it looked like: I'm pretty happy with it. Will be a few weeks before I can get paint on it, but should get on the truck shortly. Much to the g/f's excitement!
  15. What's funny is every year since there is another "mountain" story from someone that followed google maps and didn't look at the satellite view!! Doh!! Live and learn.
  16. Ouch. Man, can't any of the plug suppliers give you something that will survive? Only thing I have to deal with is the ground straps fall off my Autolite Racing plugs. Typically only replace in the spring, but I'm guessing they break sometime during the year. Last week I went to Beaver Springs for the FE Reunion. I changed the plugs and found 3 that were missing the strap completely. Still ran the numbers last fall. Or did they break off during the winter sleep and when I started it to load it they disappeared? Didn't sound any different before or after.
  17. Wow. Nice work. With all my machining capabilities I don't know why I didn't just cut my pins off and make new? Maybe someday I will. Mines ARD 144.
  18. Mines marked weird too, if I recall. Need to crawl and look. Mine is a 517 too(pretty sure, CRS kick'n in)
  19. Sorry to see this!! Ugh. Looks like someones train ain't get'n there new wheels this week.
  20. "Go big or go home"............
  21. I got some shingles I need placed on my garage roof. Will that be big enough . I bet when it moves, it doesn't actually MOVE. It just rotates the world underneath it?
  22. "ran when parked"....................
  23. Well, Van Horn took the stuff back and I got the right stuff now. Ball/socket design and 3/4" holes in the other end. Should be good to go once I get time to cut/weld/install it.
  24. Well on FB, a fellow was selling MACK embossed mudflaps. I got a pair over the weekend and will be getting them cut down and put on.
  25. Ah, my main side dies off in a few hours. I'm thinking it is the air wiper switch(again). Used to last a day or so.
