  1. Ya, sad to hear about her and Ed McMahon. She did age gracefully, one of the lucky ones. Too bad they were forgotten so quickly............when the PERV died. Don't forget, Kmart is having a MJ tribute sale this week. All boys pants 1/2 off....get'm while you can.
  2. Scott is on this forum. Have to search his name, I think he goes by Sthoren here?
  3. Great work!! I can't WAIT to see it start to come together. It's going to be awesome! "no rust on anything"................ok, ok............just rub it in! LOL!!! I had to buy special welding wire to get two pieces of rust to stick together on my truck LMAO!!!!
  4. Sick, just sick. I won't even suggest what I want to do to them kids.
  5. Hey, as long as you don't have an ammo in the cab....can't be all too illegal. The only problem would be most any business that has the "NO" firearms notice stapled to every wall.
  6. Herb...I put dual pipes on mine just so I could hear it better on MY side of the truck LOL!!! Of course after a long trip...it does get a bit old. I do find myself leaning out the window to get a better tone of the bark. The engine noise inside the cab tends to drown out the exhaust. Glad the g/f isn't a chatty cathy and doesn't mind a few hours not talking! (Ya, I got it good LOL!)
  7. Ya, kinda hard to see, but I figured might be a gun rack in the back window?
  8. Are you referring to your temps, not your actual license? You should be able to add the extras(tank, doubles, hazmat) even after you take your actual road test, but before you get your printed license. As for driving jobs, likely won't get much help from anyone now. With no experience and with the HUGE pool of drivers finding an opening is slim. You'll have to start out with the low name companies and get your 1-2 yrs in so you can find a better place. Unless you know someone that will mentor you in a small company? Usually the insurance companies will restrict driving for newbies. You'll be stuck intrastate til your 21 anyhow.
  9. Just realized Saturday that Rt 30 just west of Canton states "60 mph", no split mph for trucks. Not sure how new the sign is? Don't pay that much attention LOL!!!!
  10. The endorsements are just a "simple" 20 questions each. Get 16 of 20 and you pass. I didn't even study for doubles/haz mat and only missed each by ONE question. Didn't need either, but doesn't cost extra to take test. Did get the tanker.
  11. Ya, don't use an expidited type carrier. A nice solid wood box and drop it off at Yellow or the like and you shouldn't pay much for it. I ship stuff like that out from work, but luckily we get discounted rates.
  12. Sounds great. Sure wish I could get some outside sound of my truck pulling thru the hills yesterday. Going down into southern Ohio and had a couple hills that I was down to 3rd lo and crawling! My set up isn't all that heavy, but heavy enough for 180 hp.
  13. So who was driving when you hit the pole? LOL!!! See now...I woulda put an IV bag on the mirror and then taking a picture LOL!!! That would have been PRICELESS!
  14. See now, ya'll we will be argu'n over pickups too. I'm a diehard FORD guy. Got a full garage of'em.
  15. Well Larry, Welcome to the site. BTW, my name is Larry LOL!!!! (where's Daryl?) I'm late to the party, as usual. I see you've met up with the rest of the clowns here. O-D knows too much about Photoshop(as by the pics he posts). Seems he's able to keep that Pete running long enough to waste time on the computer? Or maybe it's in the shop enough for him to have time to get on the computer?
  16. Welcome to the site John. This is the place to be if you like Macks.
  17. LOLOLOLOLOL...Wow.....whew.......pretty good ones Rob! The first one makes me thirsty.............................
  18. It's been some time back, there is a Mason Dixon trailer sitting at a farm out West of here on Rt 224. Probably pretty rough up close, would be neat to repaint and pull behind the B. Looks pretty short, 30ft ish?
  19. Now that's a classic picture!
  20. Hmm, looks pretty nice shape still.
  21. I've seen that truck run at QuakerCity a few years ago when the Diesel drags were still "Big". Had a few exhibition trucks making LOTS of smoke! Can't recall what that truck has two Cats? or cummins hooked together. Smith Transportation had a couple V12 DD running(one COE, one long hood). Seems they went 12.0's in the 1/4 mile. I have some video of them. Should get them to Youtube.
  22. With all the BIG changes and improvements(if that is what you want to call them) that they have engineered into these new trucks/motors I'd be skeptical to buy anything(if I could afford one). Even the Ford had issues with the 6.0 when it came out. Seems they got that figured out and changed it again. Duh, more problems. The ol 7.3 was a dead reliable engine, but with tree huggers and the like spouting off, they had to change things. Our '99 7.3 PSD has 220K on it and still nothing but oil changes and one clutch(not bad for a shop truck with idiots driving it). You know as well as I, the old dawgs still like to hunt(run) as I use mine every weekend. I'm not afraid to drive it anywhere, though my back isn't so fond anymore LOL!! If I could alter it to the way I want it, it would be better(air ride). It needs a bunk also, as the g/f is a real trooper when it comes to 3 hrs bouncing in the passenger seat and trying to stay wake and sit upright. Where's all the free stuff I need? LOL!!
  23. "It's just an old broke down firetruck" is the mentality they have about it. That's too bad, but in their defense they have much more important things to worry about(whatever that is). I couldn't fathom coming to find anything of mine "missing". Guess that's why I'm so paranoid about leaving stuff anywhere I can't see it daily, constantly. I lock my stuff up sitting in the garage! If they get in the garage, they'll have to work at getting into the vehicle too. There are MORE crooks then good guys anymore, sad fact. I hope in some way you can get back something on your loss(either money or you know what).
