  1. Nice one Terry. Nothing like fan'n the flames LOL!!!
  2. Alright! Nice work. Rattle the cages...........someone is gunno bark!
  3. LOL!!! Ya, she says I'm like an Olympic athlete.........No messing around the night before the competition LMAO!!!! Got to be in TOP shape!!! Yes, I want a Harley, but the money says HONDA. Got a great deal on the '86 and they gave me WAYY good money on trade in so I got the 1100. Much more comfortable, good power and clean as a pin(only 11K miles). Black and chrome just like the '86 too. I've since put a set of pipes on it, jet kit and KN air filter. Runs much stronger, gets better mileage too. Bit too loud, but it's livable for me. I can at least make more noise then buddy's Harley with Vance/Hines pipes on his LOL!!! Couldn't handle that sewing machine hum anymore. Someday, maybe I'll afford a Harley.....................for now I have a "Hardley A Davidson"
  4. Ya know Mike, I just don't get alot done on the net during the summer it seems. Too much other stuff going on. I've wanted to make a new vid, there again I get to the track and don't screw around with it. Been that way all summer. My stick racing has been doing well, as I started #1 in points and with only one drop to #2 and back up to #1 so far. Got three races left(won two of them so far) it's going to be a tough one to stay on top. I have a 4 round lead on #2 so it's just a touch of breathing room, but no room for slacking as it goes away just as quick as I get it. Heading to Columbus, Ohio (National Trails) Saturday morning for next race. The g/f is grumbling already about the 6am leave time LOL!! She AIN'T a morning person.......at all!!!! Udder then that, samo samo around the homestead. Been really wearing out the new bike this summer. Don't know if I mentioned here I traded the ol '86 700 Shadow for a '00 1100 shadow. Ya, it's nice!!
  5. Maybe if ALOT of people copy/paste that email and reply back to "Sharon" she'll get the idea that maybe she SHOULD care??
  6. Good to hear ya got her inside now. Much easier to work on, huh? Weather won't slow you down now.
  7. I took mine to my engine machine shop and had him dip it in caustic bath. So clean you could eat off it.....but of course no paint left either. I was painting it anyway and this was a good way to take care of two birds. Not sure I know ANY car wash places that would appreciate an oil bath air cleaner being "cleaned" in a bay!! Maybe get a gallon pail of Simple green and pour it thru the top and let it settle, pour more, repeat and then hose it out really good.
  8. Replacing the pins on my B was easier then any old Ford I beam I've done. Couple hours to fully dismantle the front end and that included jacking it up, getting the tires off, and knocking it apart fully to bare bones. Mine has the taperd pins as shown by Rob, though don't recall what my axle number is? I assembled it, seating the bottom nut fully and haven't touched it in 8 yrs. Never really knew what the spec was? Still steers with two fingers, goes down the road at 65 with no hands.
  9. When I replaced the floor in my truck, I had the end channels bent for me, this didn't include the outer rocker panel as it was still in decent shape. Unfortunately all the pics got ousted when the old forum was finally shut down. Probably have them someplace at home? I did some measuring, made some simple sketches and had local metal shop make them for me. Worked out pretty well and since they are 16 ga, they will NEVER rust through again, ever.
  10. Look on the drivers side of rear axle(up around the gear area-if it's a double reduction) and it will be stamped x.xx. Mine has 4.62 and with single over triplex it runs 65~mph. With a direct duplex, I bet 50ish is all you'll get. Look on the drivers side of tranny(main box) and read the "TRDxxxx" and see what it says. This will clarify if you have OD or not. Herb, my truck only has the one fuel filter on the front pass. side of motor. I put one back at the tank with a separator in it to make it easier to keep the front one clean. Also much easier to replace the spin on hanging off the frame then puking fuel all over the place on the engine mounted original version. I know I should just put some spin on types from a 237, but oh well.
  11. I knew there was a company a few years back that made them, though pretty hi tech and expensive. Diesel powered, with 5 spd motorcycle tranny. Here is another company: http://www.eastcoastminiclassics.com I've seen KW T800 style bodies that fit on go-cart type frames on Ebay.
  12. Ok, anyone have access to a B model with integeral sleeper?? Can get some good pics of front/side/rear to enable good measurements to be taken so it can be modeled? Thanks guys. BTW, the R model turned out awesome. http://www.mwmodeltrucking.com/forum/viewt...32&start=72
  13. Ya know...................... That just AIN'T right Shoulda just said it was 4 donuts tall and 8 wide...................now that would be something he would be able to relate to better
  14. My new laptop won't accept a direct line from my Handycam like my old laptop did. Can't seem to find a driver to make it work either. Now I have to use my VCR and copy it to tape, then back to laptop............what a pain. Windows Vista.........what a wunderfool thing! Love to have an old V8 truck! Just couldn't imagine the fuel it would go through LOL!!!
  15. Don't think he's worried too much about powertrain, as it's gunno be electric powered(r/c) anyway. I think he's just wanting some more overall detail information.
  16. Sounds like for $2000 they'll put the plugs back in the rocker shafts LOL!! Ain't that nice of'um?
  17. There is a fellow on a R/C modeler forum building a R model from scratch(flat plastic stock) and is needing underhood shots, anything to help get details done. Anyone have some decent wide angle shots with hood open to share here? I've googled and found some for sale ads with underhood shots, but they aren't the greatest shots. Thanks link to site http://www.mwmodeltrucking.com/forum/viewt...=a&start=36
  18. Ugh........................ Shouldn't that have Pete emblems on it??? Likely the driver would need the seat on the floor as to NOT be seen driving it LOL!!!!
  19. Sounds like a bargin. Always wanted one, though have no real need for it, IE: noise maker.
  20. Jim, a fellow that used to work with me young son did that video, that's the reason for me being it more then once. Great work on the chassis. I'm SO jealous!
  21. Well, I'd bet if you just made sure it had FUEL in it when you start it you'd be alot happier to begin with.
  22. Hmmm, I let my B go all winter hooked up and it's been fine all these years. Actually going on 6+yrs for the batteries/starter when I switched it to Neg ground and 12v start. Didn't put a disconnect switch on it either. In fact, I know the batteries are starting to fail as it takes some time for them to get above 12v when the alt kicks in. I pulled two off(since the one battery box was getting kinda weak anyway) and now it still starts easily with just 2 batteries. Guess I must not have too much of a drain on the system?
  23. .........that's the break you take to lick your lips while pronoucing it properly
