  1. After you have worked it fairly hard pull over and check both sides of the thermostat and the shutterstat with a hand held heat gun. This will tell you if your gauge is off or where something like the thermostat are NOT opening..
  2. Actually it is the NON elected power hungry greedy people who pull his puppet strings!!!!
  3. Here in SC it has gone up about 50 cents in the last 2 weeks!!
  4. The thing I hate about digital gauges is that you have to stop and read them.. NOT looking at the road!!! With the old needle gauges you learned where normal was and a brief scan told you if anything was out of normal..
  5. The late Mike Harbison posted a picture of he and his wife leaving the church after the wedding in an R model Mack!!!
  6. Also Brockway used Continental Engines.. There are probably some take out to be repowered.. Check Tom Millard (Olsdpwr) on here as he repowered one a few years ago...
  7. Matt, As Mech said I have no objections to being corrected!! Yes LED's mounted in the mesh part would serve the safety purpose without transforming it into a Tow Truck and the possibility of more state regulations.
  8. A light bar on the Top of the headache rack will give you additional safety in stop and turn for normal driving as well as some amber to show off in a parade..
  9. As Vlad said in the above post.. Use a lot of "Panther Piss", your preferred concoction, on them several times before trying to loosen them.. and yes a strap type filter wrench might work???
  10. H67, My prayers and condolences to his family.. I have probably met and visited with him over the years..
  11. Hicrop If you are coming north on I-25 thru New Mexico there are 2 private collections in Cimmeron NM. One guys name is Norm Pick and the other is Miller.
  12. Matt and Joe,, Yes Doug Fetterly was the name I could not come up with!!!!!! Matt, if you have his number, both NY and FLA, send it to Hicrop and maybe Doug has what he needs?????
  13. HELP!!!!! I am having a senior moment!!!! Who is the Mack man in Harrisville NY that pulls a 5th wheel camper with both an integral sleeper B model and a MH cab over. I can picture both him and his trucks , BUT can not put the name in the middle!!!!! Del something????? Who used to make the aluminum reproduction battery boxes??????????? Maybe he has the lid you are looking for????
  14. In 2019 we made a similar loop when we went to the ATHS show in Reno.. A word word of warning.. If you plan on doing the Hoover Dam and generating system think "Airport Security" to get inside the visitor center and generators... Had my pocket knife and was not allowed in!!
  15. Robo Another source of information is the American Truck Historical Society, Wyoming Cowboy Chapter, Scott Campbell, 307-856-2780
  16. Mech, I will have to look for some pictures of Dan's Value Liner.. I saw it at both Lexington KY and Reno..
  17. If Dan Thomas(???) of Medley ORE brings his Aussie Value Line to York PA next year take a good look at it... Mech your explanation goes along with Paul's statement about stability on Aussie road trains..
  18. Where in Wyoming did you get that answer from??? In most all states the individual DMV offices do NOT know what they are talking about with Antique / Historical Plates!!!! AND you will get a different answer from every person you talk to!! Do not be bashful,, Contact a Diesel Cop, In whatever form Wyoming lists them.. They SHOULD have computer access to what the law actually reads!!! There is also the Antique Truck Club of America, Wyoming Rocky Mountain Chapter, contact James Dixon, PO BOX 636, Newcastle WY 82701, phone 207-746-2788, email: jdixon@dixonbrosinc.com, who can point you in the right direction for good info..
  19. DCW,, Probably a topic in the antique section would find more visitors????
