  1. Same here!!!!
  2. I do NOT know all of Mack's numbering system, BUT in the R models a 600 series had a Mack engine and the 700 series had outside vendors engines.. The 22.5 is the tubeless version of the 10-20 tube type tire. Size wise they are interchangeable. Just start looking for decent 22.5 rims and tires and you will be in good shape. Depending on what you are going to use it for, as a hobby truck you can get away with what you have is they are not too far worn or out of date..
  3. Please add it to you profile.. Being a F-712 what engine does it have in it??? If it is a 2 stroke Detroit you have to make sure the rack is free or it will run away!!!!
  4. She is just one of the many reasons NO ONE trusts the leftist corporate media anymore!!!!!
  5. Where are you located?? That looks like a GA plate on it????? First try to roll the engine over with a bar on the front pulley bolt. If free, start from there.
  6. TJC, 1957 was the last year of the "Big Job" Fords.. I think (???) the Big Job name was introduced in 1952 when Ford introduced the 317 Y block Lincoln engine in the F-8 and F-800 series. Ford changed the name to "Super Duty" in 1958 with the introduction of the 401, 477, and 534 CI designed for trucks engine.
  7. I sent this topic in an email to a buddy in the Allentown area.. Will see what happens????
  8. Here is Quadbox's 1957 Ford T-800.
  9. Johnson's also has a 300 series Brockway with a wrecker, that says "The Happy Hooker" on the front bumper, that is very sharp looking unit that has been in the Brockway Museum during the 2017 season. I forget the power train right now??
  10. Yes it is!!!!! We all had a good day meeting new people face to face...
  11. Dean, Thanks for that picture.. It was taken at the Lincolnton show year before last.. I can name several of the people in it.
  12. And if they bring that spread axle Bull Rack with 10 foot of speakers between the tandems, Get out the BIGGEST set of sound deading ear muffs you can find!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And you can NOT visit with anybody at the show!!!!!!!
  13. There was an article on AC Purple engines in the ATHS Wheels of Time by Bill Johnson somewhere back in the 1012 to 2015 time frame.
  14. I guess that is what my wife calls Brunswick Stew??????? Must be a southern thing??????
  15. That ain't stew!!!!! It looks the same as what my REBEL (GA Born)wife makes and it is vegetable soup!!! Stew is made with chunks of beef, brown gravy, and onions, mushrooms, ETC...
  16. My prayers and condolences go out to all the families in Western North Carolina who will not be able to be together this Thanksgiving due to hurricane Helena. May the rest of the families in the all of the good old U S of A have a safe and thankful Thanksgiving.
  17. Mark, Johnson City is a suburb of Binghamton NY.. Would like that one my self.. Tom Millard (Olsdpwr) is on here at times and might know the truck.. Those Eaton 3 speed rears were sorta unusual. Held up OK as long as you did not work the intermediate speed extremely hard as 1 rear was in low and the other high.
  18. Be sure you have a licenced electrician install it to your house or your home owners insurance will go to hell..
  19. From your pictures, that H model looks like a good candidate for a restoration,,, Hopefully you can swap it for the parts you need???
  20. TJC, Yes it usually took most a week to get one of the barn fires totally out. The fire company would stand by and let burn itself out.
  21. Paul, Thanks for the explanation of baling at night.. We had always baled the small square bales in the afternoon when the moisture content was at its lowest.. If the hay was too wet it would mold in the barn. Even A few barns were lost to a spontaneous combustion fire from the mold..
  22. Paul that is a tractor (prime mover) for a trailer based aerial ladder. Some of which had a steerable trailer axle and a man with a steering wheel on the back. That is why the out riggers have been added for stability.
  23. Harry, You are thinking to of red and silver LTL and bull rack of Kranik (sp???) Ranch some where in Texas.. I have seen it a couple of times at Macungie, and maybe York also???
  24. Welcome to Big Mack Trucks!!!!!😃 Will be looking forward to progress pictures.
