  1. Here is another picture of the 1925, maybe you can read the sides better??? I do not remember the whole story on the Argentinian truck.. Possibility if Tom Millard (oldspwr) checks in he can tell us a lot more about it??? Also 2 more Huskiteeers the red one is retired City of Cortland and the yellow one might be owned my Mike Yarnell(???) as it is at Mucungie most years. The red 359 tanker behind them I think is a retired milk pick up tanker refurbished as a water tanker.
  2. Here are some retired ones.. a couple are in the museum in Cortland NY. The 1925 was driven from Argentina to Cortland to trade it in for a new one. Needless to say the new one got a boat ride home.
  3. Here are some active ones from the Cortland NY Brockway Show.
  4. Aaron's tanker falls in a "Contractor" class is is called out on a for hire basis for large brush wildfires.
  5. AGWAY's Fuel oil depot right on the river in Odgensburg!!!!!!!! When the thermometer on the side of the rack said 28 below and God only knows what the wind chill factor was across the frozen St. Lawrence?????
  6. Geoff, Been there, done that!!!! Hauling potatoes out of upcounty Maine...
  7. I was born and raised on the outskirts of Ithaca.. I am the newsletter editor for the ATHS Palmetto Upstate Chapter.. Please send me your son's email address in an email or PM and I will add him to my mailing list.. Possible we can meet at one of our events when you come down to visit.. Our Dacusville SC show on Labor Day weekend is our best..
  8. Back in the 70's when I drove for Matlack hauling for AGWAY farm suppply we blended any where between 25% to 50%, depending on weather and distributor specs, kero and #2 fuel in one hole barrel trailers while loading.
  9. Welcome to the BMT site.. I see you are from Western NY, I am from the Finger Lakes now in South Carolina.. We love pictures!!! As long as they are not of snow butt deep to a 10 foot Indian!! This is a great group of guys who can eventually answer most any question asked. But DO NOT Mind us when we go off topic
  10. The yellow one in the third row may be a Pacific?????
  11. This is a normal problem.. When I went from a Vermont antique registration to a South Carolina title on my 49 Diamond T 201, I had to do the same thing.. Made an appointment and the girl came out took a look at the VIN plate on the cowl and took a picture on HER phone.. She did not ask to see the number stamped in the the frame and I DID NOT suggest it to her!!!!
  12. The good doctor with a grey lab coat!!!! I know him also..
  13. Katahdin is a beautiful sight from I-95.. I have seen it going north with a full moon on the snow at 20-30 degrees below zero. One of those beautiful nights when you could run on marker lights ONLY at times!!!!!
  14. TJC, That is a beautiful truck!!! Thanks for posting it.
  15. CITY BOY!!!!!!!!! For me it is close to 1/2 hour to thee nearest gas station, which does not have non ethanol!!!
  16. 99&44/100 % of the DMV workers in all states DO NOT know what the laws actually are!!!!!!! They just go by what pops up on their computer screen. Contact the Public Relations officer for what ever department that the "Diesel Cops" work for and you can usually get the proper answers as they are the personnel working the scale houses and make the roadside stops. Get it in writing (printout) and take it to the DMV and say "this is what I need"!!!!!!! We are lucky to have such a person as a chapter member and he has straightened out several DMV offices.
  17. At least in Nu Joisey you do not have far to go to PA and get some.. Be Glad you do NOT live in the middle of Texas or Montana!!!!!!
  18. Get in contact with an ATHS and/or ATCA Chapter member in your area and see what they have done to keep legal.. Our chapter has a member who is a retired SC State "Diesel Cop" and he has connections with some higher ups in the DMV so we get much useful information from him.
  19. AND ALWAYS Use ethanol free gas whenever possible!!!!
  20. I ran mine dry about 4 years ago and it started right up after the Hurricane.
  21. Larry, Thanks for keeping us updated on this interesting project.. I will be looking forward to more pictures..
  22. I do not know if the Mack group in the Netherlands comes on here??? But Vlad I think (??) has some contact info on them.. Maybe they could find a Renault Dealer in Europe?????
  23. Great to hear you are still with us!!!! Keep us posted on your activities.
  24. All I got was a big black square??????
