  1. Hippy I saw the severe weather warning on this morning's news.. Have not emailed my daughter in Cheshire Conn yet..
  2. And hope the scales are CLOSED!!!!
  3. As Bob Mowerman will attest, The Brockway Weekend in Cortland / Homer NY the 2nd weekend of August is a definite to put on your bucket list!!!!! Anywhere from 120 to 150 Brockways on Main St and in the Village park!! Along with 4 museums and a Parade...
  4. Not really!!!!!! His latest proclamations allow something like 2500 a DAY and give a lot of those already here the right to stay!!!
  5. Bob, I know the feeling!! Spent all day yesterday (Monday) going thru 10 days of emails, the mail & checkbook, sorting out all my receipts, checking the truck forums, and taking a NAP... Today I have to unload and drop my trailer then get the lawn mowed / bush hogged.. The good news is that Saturday PM Chris Maney said that ATCA is going to look into golf cart rental.. Possibly handicapped only????
  6. A very GREAT show!!! I had missed the last couple of years, and I enjoyed meeting all my old friends and making some new ones. I am sorry my arthritic legs and hips did not let me walk the whole show field to see all the trucks.
  7. Vlad, Again a BIG Thank You!!!! I have been offsite for most 2 weeks going to both the York and Macungie shows.. I really appreciate the pictures of the various buildings and their architecture.. Places which I would never see in person.
  8. I am the tall one on the right end of the back row..
  9. Larry: From my past experience you will have no problem dropping your trailer and bobtailing out and back in for food service.... NO Metal Gates!!!!
  10. Vlad, Again a big Thank You!!! I had read about the blue tile mosques, But your pictures of them make them very beautiful, as well as the engineering feats to build both the mosques and the shopping areas.
  11. Vlad, Thanks for the Brockway picture.. It is a 700 series with the Sheller Globe cab (Basically Mack)) so it would have been built in the last 2-3 years of Brockway operation.
  12. Looks Great!!!!!! Glad the loaded run was successful... Now, your name lettered on the door and a small amount of pinstriping and you are all set to be a show stopper..
  13. Vlad, Thank you for the very well explained answer to my statement "Never",, Actually I was thinking that the majority of us would never travel that far from home due to age and expense. Curiosity question:: Have you seen any Brockways????? The last 50 Brockways were assembled in a warehouse in Miami FL by management to complete the order and were shipped to Iran. Possibly Oilfield???
  14. It is the little things like that, that take time, BUT make a show truck sparkle!!!
  15. What time frame are you thinking of eating???? We will be leaving Hartford Conn early AM to get to the Mack Museum, pick up trlr, go over to Macungie, unload and drop trailer, park DT, ETC..!!!! My old Butt may be whupped by then!!!!!!
  16. You will have to play with it, but it is very possible you have a transmission like Harry described above.. When I lived in PA we had a V-8 powered IH chassis fire truck that shifted that way.
  17. After several years pulling pneumatic tanks for Matlack, I have blown just about every product you can move with air..
  18. If you think cement is a mess think about baking flour!!! Been there, Done that!!
  19. I think (???) that in the 40's and 50's you were required to carry spare bulbs and there should also be some fuses in there..
  20. Hauled many loads with those trailers out of the Northampton PA mills over the years..
  21. Sometimes we have to learn to like what we got!!!!! Changing the wheel color to something different that goes with your green and matches the new lettering and pinstriping might (???) improve the the whole truck to your liking. And a whole lot cheaper than painting the whole thing!! You can photo shop, can you put your truck on the computer screen and play with different colors??????
  22. Welcome to the wonderful world of Nu Joisey!!!!!
  23. Vlad, Thank you much for including us Americans on your trips. It is countryside we will NEVER see ourselves. All these pictures are greatly appreciated..
  24. By only looking at the pictures, I am NOT sure it needs painting???? Try to buff out the lettering, and get it relettered and a little pin striping and you will be good to go.. You are only less than 70?? I am 79 and the health issues are making it harder to travel each year.. Use your coins to travel and attend the shows you want to.. Try to consider the truck an investment that you can sell at a profit 10-15 years from now..
  25. I would NOT Consider a repower!!!!!!!!! I will admit I am more of a purist to keep a truck original.. Consider your checkbook!!! You have already spent a fortune getting this gas engine running right.. For just hobby and show purposes what you have is an excellent vehicle. ENJOY IT!!!!!!!!!!!
