  1. I think(??) the cab and its size are the same, just the frame and suspensions are built for the work the trucks are intended.
  2. Paul I think(??) the DM model designation stood for Dump/Mixer == Heavy Dury work.. The U models were were generally short tractors (prime mover in Aussie) to meet longer trailer length limits.
  3. since he cannot feel his fingers It better be Fahrenheit as 37 Celsius would be over 100 degrees..
  4. Throw Yellowstone in the mix also.. A great drive thru experience..
  5. I agree with Mark.. A run up to Sheetz will definitely answer the question..
  6. Since they were in the feed and grain business and NOT the Rock Salt I first assumed possibly some of their equipment is still around..
  7. Another lead might be Level Green Transportation (Paul Crispell) outside the hamlet Caroline NY.. I do Not know if they have a Brooktondale, Berkshire or Newark Valley address. They are right in the corner where they all meet.. The older kids went to Newark Valley to high school and the younger ones went to Ithaca..They also are in the Agri trucking business and might know of Cayuga?????
  8. They might have been the Fort something(??) fleet out of the north side of Albany NY by lake George????????
  9. Tommy, I think your GPS got zapped by the Northern Lights!!!!! Walcott Iowa is one hell of a long ways from Vermont!!!!!!
  10. If you happen to be in upstate NY the second weekend of August go to the Brockway Weekend in Cortland / Homer NY and start visiting with people.
  11. I cannot help much although I was born and raised in the Ithaca area. I remember Cayuga Rock Salt and my family knew a family who worked in the mines. I moved out of the area in the mid 60's and like has been said above most of those trucks have probably rusted away to nothing.. My best thought is to find a decent R model and have it painted in Cayuga livery.
  12. On the wheel seal.. Get out your mic and calipers and do some measuring.. I had a new Frtlnr that came thru new with the inside of wheel bearing .010 larger than the spindle.. went thru 3 sets of seals before the shop figured it out..
  13. FWD: The Erv Bickford Collection in Yarmouth Maine should not be too far east??? I understand it is now operated by the Mahan Foundation.. There is a small part of a pavilion and storage sheds that are open 24/7 in a city park.. The restoration shop, storage building, and waiting in line outdoor storage is about a mile away but must have an appointment.. Also the late Daryl Gushee's collection is in the same area. I do NOT know its viewing status??? a Phone call would be needed.. I have more pictures, PM me your email address and I will forward them. Also contact Tony Bullard @ tonybullardvt@gmail.com or Roger Martin @ mackltl52@outlook.com , Both of them will probably be at Macungie..
  14. Please give us a better location in Pennsylvania,, as there are several PA members on here who could possibly look at it for you... ALSO!! Pictures!!!!!! please post us some pictures so we can evaluate it better...
  15. I am glad ALL those parts are MACK!!! It looks like they cleaned up the parts room and built a neat truck.. Thanks for sharing..
  16. Mech, I do NOT want my parents phone back!!!! Hung on the wall with a crank on the side... Phone number 28Y22 which was line (12 to 15 party) 28 and our ring was 2 longs and 2 shorts!!! All calls to another line had to go thru a live operator, who knew everybodys business!!!!! I still have just a flip phone as have not been able to learn hoe to use a smarter than me phone.
  17. Bullheaded: Watch the Mahan Collection video that Hippy just posted.. There are a couple of pictures of the INCO Mack in it.. It has a yellow tank, where I thought it was wood colored..
  18. Hippy: Thank you much for posting this video.. I did not know how LARGE his collection was or that so much of it was outside... I understand the Mahan Foundation now has control of the Bickford Collection in Yarmouth Maine.. I hope someone makes a similar video of it..
  19. I think(??) Schneider had some in their Transtars????
  20. That is similar to the "Big Bud" tractor up in Montana(???) that I have seen videos of..
  21. Do you Have the Showtime Book from the ATHS show in York PA in about 2016-7??? That is the last time I can remember that Gary Mahan had it at a show. I have never Googled the Mahan collection to see what pictures he has on there?? It is a 1942(???) wartime black L model cab with a large wood colored barrel on it, about 10 foot wide with a Cummins Engine
  22. I think you are RIGHT on Non-Ethanol ONLY!!!!!
  23. Around here most of the new QT's, and some of the small local store chains, have non ethanol all the time.
  24. Tom, I always add the Stay-Bil to the cans before I fill them.. That way it is mixed in good!! And then fill the DT from the cans..
