No affiliation. Just passing along this listing I thought was interesting on Marketplace. 63,000 original miles. RBs are pretty scarce as it is. Might be expensive. I don't know. A brand new factory tandem dump truck with that heavy steel body like that is probably over $200,000 with FET.

If you are able to open the link and look at all the pictures in the listing. He has a bunch of interesting stuff in the garage. Looks like an Autocar, B81, and an L cab Mack at a minimum. Also some stuff sitting around outside looks interesting.

Yes, I noticed that I couldn’t help but think to myself why is it getting rid of the only thing that runs or at least looks like it’s ready to work the rest of it is just taking up space

That is a really nice old Mack. Wow!

Was probably set up for Jersey. Back then I think you could carry 80,000 on a tandem dump like that. Maybe you still can if you have one of those special overweight permits. I'm not super familiar but its been discussed on here before. From what I heard back in those days they they either didn't have or didn't check bridge laws. If you had a tandem dump you could load to 80k and hit the road. @tjc transport would know and/or if you can still carry that massive weight on a tandem.

Just noticed, kind of a short wheelbase, box hangs over the tandems quite abit, could be a problem on bridge laws?    terry  :MackLogo:

Paver special.

The offset is so asphalt goes into paver, not in front of it

when you are up to your armpits in alligators,

it is hard to remember you only came in to drain the swamp..

70,ooo max on a tandem. 80,ooo was/is trialaxle.

My tandem isregiatered for 80, but that is with trailer only. Just tthe ruck, i am limited to 70.

Also, back then if you wanted to run 70, it was either a $3000 registration, or you ran constructor plates for $800 a year and were limited to 25 mph loaded an 45 empty
