The problem is Jo-Jo already has an old IHC gas job. The big gassers are hard to justify to just take to shows. Nice, yes but expensive to insure, feed and register. His K-7 on the other hand, is of a size that you could actually used it for the occasional parts run or something. 

I have had a gas Fleetstar for a while before I parted it out. Only thing it got used for was a yard goat, spinning trailers around. My K-7 has done much more.

I'm not knocking the truck at all, just that few can afford the luxury of a show queen that only goes to shows, takes up a lot of room,  and the case of a 549 is expensive to run.

Smaller antique truck can give about the same thrill and is easier on the wallet. 

It likely why so few of the bigger one survive. 

Other dog found it didn't fit him all that well either.  

There is a guy on another site that has one as a grain/farm truck. A little more options there to put it to use.

It sucks when you can’t  unload something I tried to sell mine in a couple of times I couldn’t get any one interested and I had it advertised at a very low price

Ever think about putting it up on Bring A Trailer? I’ve heard it can be a lot of work, but it might be the best way to get the price you want. Too big of a glut with anything IH in my area, and often times the $1,500 truck will run just as good.

I've never advertised it anywhere except Marketplace and here. I thought about an ad in Wheels of Time and Double Clutch but haven't done it.

That's pretty much what I told a potential buyer on marketplace. He said he had just started a cattle hauling business and his truck blew up and he needed a truck fast. I told him I had just sold the truck he needed, the Brigadier. I told him the big green International that runs now has been a show truck for years and while it would probably do whatever he wanted it to do, it was 60+years old and there were better and cheaper options out there. So I might have talked him out of a sale, I don't know.

I got 2 responses since I lowered the price. One that might be something, a guy in Michigan who sells trucks and trailers wanted my contact info. so he could get his friend in Ky. to come look at it sometime. The other was a guy in WV who wanted to know the gross weight and the least I would take for it.

that thing is very clean,,,,and well worth the price,,,you need the right buyer to come along,,,,i wouldnt give it away,,,but its wierd certain vehicles fly off the shelf ,,,others dont go anywhere,,,i probably mentioned my mom hadda 49 dodge wayfarer convertible when i got here,,,,i follow them from time to time ,,and thier prices never seem to go anywhere,,bob

The guy from Michigan called me today, he said his guy from Kentucky was going to be traveling 460 this weekend for something. And he said he would pass my contact info on to him so he could come by and look at it. He buys and sells trucks and trailers in Michigan, so maybe he's serious about it.

So another guy came by today to look at the big green International that runs now. He was Fredericksburg guy, who was acting as an agent for Kentucky guy, who was acting as an agent for Michigan guy.

Bottom line, he was very impressed with it. He called Michigan guy and told him it was nice, started right up, and the pictures didn't do it justice. And I didn't even wash it or anything, still had inch deep dust on the hood. 

Michigan guy said he would call me later this afternoon.

I wish I am The buyer... but I really do have plenty to do.  I also swapped for the 76 C-10 big block truck that needs my attention..  Its a rare bird,  and will fit nicely in my mini collection..
