Popular Post h67st
I went to the show Saturday in Ashland Ohio, not nearly as big as Macungie but still a lot of Macks and other trucks there. The weather was nice and cool, but pretty windy. Probably the finest R model I've ever seen: One of the famous tri-drive B models: This one has a Cat in it: Some guy named Fetterly:

Popular Post Freightrain
Ya, we had a good show overall. Perfect weather. Next year the show will be the following weekend so as to not interfere with Macungie. Something we have been trying to do for a few years. The new manager at ACF was happy to accommodate, compared to the previous one. I runnered up in the slow race against Earls super slo mo KB12. It has 9.xx rear gears and the idle set to near nothing! Bubba Davis in his backwards F3 crane truck came after me first round thinking he would knock me out. He was wrong! LOL. The ol B is pretty slow for a road tractor. We had about 50 trucks on the dinner cruise. I think the final overall count was 258 for the weekend. We have had over 300 in the past. Pictures above: John DeChants Tridrive. Don Burge Pete. Doug Fetterly R model. Dennis Campbell G model. Video fron Dane Scott, Truckers Lounge: Edited June 22 by Freightrain 5 Quote Larry 1959 B61 Liv'n Large...................... Vladislav
Thanks for sharing the pictures! I sure heard about that show in the past but now learned more facts from Larry's post. Does anybody know the owner of red and white B73 with L-model cab? The sleeper on the truck looks very close to what my SGT R-model have and I enjoy suffer difficulty identifying the producent. Freightrain
Both Bs came together from one fellow on a trailer. I know the red/white one was at Harrisonburg, VA national convention so I would start there with a name from the showtime. I can look it up if you like when I get home. 1 Quote Larry 1959 B61 Liv'n Large...................... Charter member of the "MACK PACK"

If you ever see the truck again (and if you will happen keeping this point in your mind) please pay a bit of attention to the sleeper. The one I have on my R (and the one I built) seemed a kind of unique since I never saw a similar bunk on any truck or a picture. The one on the B is not a 100% copy too but very (95%-?) similar. I have no practical need in any info about it having my bunk almost finished. But would be cool to learn its origin and design details. I will try finding the truck owner's contact info either. Thanks. Quote Никогда не бывает слишком много грузовиков! leversole 11.2012

harrybarbon
Please any info about the motor that is in the blue B75 with the 2 air cleaners. Intercooler in front of the radiator shutters?
tjc transport
Harry, that is not an intercooler, it is external mount air shutters. 1 Quote when you are up to your armpits in alligators, it is hard to remember you only came in to drain the swamp..
