j hancock Posted July 5, 2014 Share Posted July 5, 2014 You could also use straight grade 30 weight but the 15W-40 will be probably be easier to find. 15W-40 has been used for many years here as the standard "diesel" engine oil.Shell Rotella T or Chevron Delo 400 are a couple of examples. Both have an API service rating of CJ-4. API is American Petroleum Institute. I don't know if that is used in Europe or if there is a information crossover that indicates products to use in diesel engines. Quote JimIt doesn't cost anything to pay attention.
