And add the new emissions compliance laws to the oil refineries, at a cost of $79 million per refinery and / or 200+ jobs at each one. Sure making us energy independent!

CAN SOMEONE AGAIN, PLEASE TELL ME HOW OBONEHEAD CAN GET RELECTED???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

BULLHUSK

It's easy. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 8% of American workers work for the government.. Add to that the 47% that don't pay any Federal income tax and union members that vote for whom they are told, you get four more years of PBO. We have passed the point where we now have more riding in the wagon then are pulling it.

And Romney-the elitest, really has the majority of the country in his best interest??? He has his rich friends at Koch Brothers, friends at Sun Capital, and friends at Bain Capitalin in mind...He doesn't care about the working man or the middle class. 47% Income tax is correct but "47% believe they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name it and that's my job is not to worry about” people who won't “take personal responsibility and care for their lives" REALLLY??. How about my mom and dad who are retired and haven't paid it because they are on a fixed income. Or the other 22% of that 47% that are retired US citizens, that equals to millions of once hard working tax paying now retired folk. Or how about a kid who graduated with me from high school??? http://pittsburgh.cb...n-into-reality/. How about Ron and other wounded warriors that do not pay income tax during deployement!!!! So I guess Ron, or my good buddy who was a marine in Fullajah in 2004 who is still messed up, or my fiance's cousin who is was in an EOD unit where over half his unit were killed by an IED in Iraq, or my buddies in the Air Force Security force and his brother in Army Reserves who served tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, are they the ones who are bottom feeders and "take personal responsibility and care for their lives" This guy and other neoconservatives are so out of touch with reality. How about talking about getting manufacturing back in the USA. We can't be a nation of service. We need to make something. The EPA might be putting this regulations in place but its really because of the DEREGULATION of the energy producing industry. When the industry was regulated it was required by the regulaory commission for the companies to invest pollution control and maintenance for its plants. Since deregulation plants have not be upkept and upgraded as in the past. This means HIGHER INVESTMENT COSTs for these plants to comply to air quality standards. Let the market self regulate. Get real. That's the real problem. Couple that with the fact that natural gas is a lot lower in price. Natural gas production is booming. This is called "'creative destruction". Its like the 8-track being replaced by the cassette, the cassette replaced by the cd,cd replaced by the Ipod. It changing of times. You don't think the coal producers know this??? Consol Energy-has natural gas and coal divisons including the use of coal bed methane recovery.

220cummings I agree with you. Robme will not be good for the USA if elected but the ones who are buying the election will get what they want. We will all be working for minimum wage and there will be no middle class. The Republicans are great for telling scary stories such as Dick Cheyney,s quote that if Obama was elected the US would be attacked on our soil again. Funny coming from a guy who was basically in charge on September 11th.

I have a great deal of respect for the knowledge of the folks on these forums and hope that they would investigate everything they read and hear before condeming the Democrats. I don't think the Republicans have the middle and low class of the country in sight. The lies that Robmey and FOX news spread around are hurting the american people - just my opinion.

High unemployment, low economic growth, 16 trillion in debt, weak and failed foreign policy, sympathy to radical Islam, redistribution of wealth, bigger government, record entitlement claims.....................

Romney is by no means the perfect candidate. But ANYONE is better than Obama. I don't know how any voter with a conscience can look at their children or grandchildren and tell them they're future doesn't matter.

How do you figure that Cheny was basically in charge on 9/11? If you're suggesting that a vice president is basically in charge, then with our current administration, we are much worse off than I initially perceived...

If you want to hear lies just listen to what your pres. and his boys and girls have been tellin the American People about the events since Sept 11 of this year, as for robme.... Well I'll take a guy who knows how to build things from the ground up, or can turn a Company from bad to good any day over this Pres. of ours who can't even run a lemonade stand. And by the way, how do you explain Barry jumping on Airforce 1 and going to Las Vegas on the very day that our Ambassador and 4 american's were killed on US soil in Libya? Do you think GW would have gotten a pass from the tanked media. It is a free Country, thank GOD! (oops did I just say the G word!) but it's just my opinion, and I do feel that every one in this great Country of ours has that right, thank GOD! OOPS I DID IT AGAIN!!!! LOL

Yeah PBO has the lower class in mind alright. Just the welfare rats that are leaching off if us ( people who work). Gotta hand it to him he found a huge untapped constituency. Promise them free shit and they vote for you. Next term blame previous administration and promise more free shit while condemning ambitious Americans who worked and made something of themselves. Pretty soon there will be too many on the free rise wagon and we will collapse and they will starve.

The problems we face today exist because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by the people who vote for a living.

The government can only "give" someone what they first take from another.

Hell, this is from Jan 2008....

...and yet the mine workers union endorsed him in 2008. Even with the mine closures, I'd be willing to bet dollars to donuts that the UMWA will endorse him again...and if they do, it only furthers my belief that the union bosses don't give a rats ass about the members.

Shuting down the coal bussiness is very bad for our country, and trying to replace it with natural gas is not the answer. You may say it is cheap and we have alot of it but i have worked in the oil and natural gas my whole life. If we take out the coal plants and start gas powerd plants the price of gas will sky rocket, the same way gas has at the pumps, and this is what the big gas companys want, They have flooded the market with gas just for this reason, to make it cheap and show we have plenty hopeing that this will help the transission from coal, but i am telling you people if coal is replaced with gas it will be way more expensive than coal and small compainies will be booming as well as the big, it will be good for me and people that work in oil and gas, but what about the electric bills, i am telling you guys we need coal. Right now gas is about 3 bucks a cfm 6 years ago when the demand was up it was 12 and 13 bucks for the same amount we were coverd up with work and my heating bill at home was unreal!!

Just my two cents, i know it ain't worth a dime, it's just two pennys right!!
