  1. local bar owner asked me to lead a parade of bikes this past weekened with my B61 on a Toy Run. the run was to raise money and collect toys for the kids of Schoharie County Ny along with Prattsville and other small towns that were devistated when hurricane Irene gave us all the rain here in Ny. entire towns were wiped out and many never returned after having to abandon their homes. seems like the government and FEMA diditn really do much. kinda went thru the motions but i hear people are still needing help.Anyways i lead the way on a 125 mile trip thru the flood zone, we stopped at a few bars along the way and ended up back at his bar for a big buffett dinner and drinks.everyone who signed up was asked to bring a toy for the kids. felt like a big sho being in the lead of over 100 Harleys.
  2. ok a few pics of half of mine. have several more. seems no matter where u put them they collect dust and are F ing impossible to clean without knockin the damn mirrors off.
  3. i think we need a new rule, we are NOT giving out anymore info unless someone provides PICTURES!!! i hate being teased, especially with a B75 big radiator and still get no pictures
  4. yup, dry slippery oad and tractor protection switch on dash get air supplied from the manifold on the passenger side of the firewall near the air inlet tube . i plumbed my parkin brake valve/yellow push pull directly from the dry side of the air tank. the hand valve gets air from the treadle valve and then goes back down and is T'd into the treadle valve.
  5. that Red and black B model is on youtube as well. under Two Stack Mack with a window in the Back. guy tells all about it. not much for bling but that truck is pretty sweet. has chrome around the three ribs on the back of the cab to. i like the looks of it, even if the interior isnt green.
  6. coming around Vinny. you guys gonna mask off the engine and transmission and spray the whole frame when your done or just brush paint it? also looks like someone changed the air tank brackets. those are B model brackets. the U and r had a bracket that was angled and curved under the frame. least the one i have seen did. or maybe Fetterly added those brackets when they changed the rears?
  7. valve covers are for a B or L firetruck with a 707. B model diesels only have two bolts holding them on, 673, 711 and 675's
  8. B42...., was on ebay a while back. pretty sure its the same truck
  9. wow, stands all painted checkered? last time i was at pocono was about 15 yrs ago. year before thast Davey Allison rolled on the backstretch all along the wayy i think, the following year he wrecked and was no longer with us. was also at Pocono for the Richard Petty farwell tour with all the Plymouth Superbee;s there, 43 of them i think.. Also remember Alan Kulwicki doin the polish victory lap one year and the followin year i believe he died in the helicoipter accient.
  10. the late Marv Comer. never knew what Mack did. the beige and green steering wheels in the B models always got me scratchin my head. who decided which? or was it what was handy?? my B613 and Doug Fetterly's both have beige steering wheels tho....
  11. a B68 would have a 540 ci engine, the B62's had 464A's and 464 B's, usually only difference was updraft and downdraft carbs. the good old updraft is the one where you pull the choke out and a half gallon of gas goes on the ground haha.
  12. now im confused... i thought an E9 was an 866??
  13. yup, was thinkin the same thing about Brockway mirrors. someone at Balston Spa Ny truck show always has a pair of those Brockway mirrors for sale and im pretty sure they are gold. the show is comin up in two weeks.
  14. Jesus Mike, how come you seem to find all the good deals? send some our way haha
  15. gee imagine that, just as i figures. 90% of all the MACKS say ready for export. F. O
  16. pictures please of the Macks might win our hearts? or get us interested in parts you have or we MIGHT need or MIGHT WANT but not need haha. if your into helpin us out youll be the best in the world as long as we keep the Macks away from SCRAPPERS and EXPORTERS.
  17. yup, never seen an RB tractor, only dump trucks here in Ny and most were set up weird. 7 speed transmissions, long frames with no lift axle
  18. yea, i knew something was up, thought it was an RB, but have never seen one as a tractor..
  19. ok whats up with the R model??? headlites in the middle of the pockets and it looks like it has a later angled front style DM hood?????// could be illusion. the IH firetruck is pretty nice. anyone see where Stacey David, the old host of Trucks tv show made a hot rod out of one of those IH tractors from the navy?.
  20. back about 15 years ago a new bumper and complete fender set, both sides could be bought from Tidewater Mack. think Matt Pfahl ended up with most of their parts. probably the old stock of fenders and bumpers has been used up by now. last i talked to him he said hes tryin to wind down on sellin NOS parts, keepin them for himself as thats his business.
  21. im sure is ''Doug Fetterly Towable''... i think i seen it go by my house when he bought it.....haha i dunno if thats the one but i have seen him go by and hook up to a van trailer and go thru a little while later and tow it three hour back to Watertown with no plates and forty year old tires
  22. yup, something tells me if you pulled up with a Landoll and winched it on in broad daylight, no one would notice or say a word...
  23. god that overnite F model is cool. why cant trucks have class anymore, or at least some freakin color on them besides white!?
  24. i painted my Mack engine alpine green, damn thing leaks oil out of the front of the pain WITH a new gasket, go figure
