  1. we have a very strict rule of no info given until pictures of newfound rusty gold are produced haha . just kiddin
  2. the F is an FH. anyone know what the original engine would have been? def has an old Mack firetruck engine in it.cab is a little rough but its all there and flat panels. the cabover Mack is a CJ or CH or EB. cant really tell the difference from lookin at the Mack book.the Mack firetruck is pretty much junk, all rotted bad and been canabalized. still amazed how shiny the windshield trim is. the DM800 is rough, cab is shot, its an early one, green dash, with an 18 speed quad. didnt even think to open the hood and see if it was a V8 as i was runnin around like a kid in a candy store.the A model with the well driller on it is pretty much junk. water has rotted the whole dash and cab away. engine, shot, fenders junk. was a few others there, a really nice Fenderal truck and the cabover 55 ford was nice. was rainin and everything was all grown up, was soaked head to toe when we got done searchin thru the brush.gonna call the guy tomorrow and see if we can make a deal on the FH. would even consider the C model cab over just to save it if the price is right. i see everything going to the crusher someday as the DEC and Encon has been botherin him. the guy has a bunch of late model cars and trucks and a shitload of VW beatles and busses, even camper special hippi busses with the roof that extends. the guy i talked to just watches the yard and was a little odd, lived in an old camper in the yard and was wearin same clothes i saw him in a week ago. kinda weird walkin around, felt like one of those movies where you get kidnapped in the junkyard haha. i guess the owner wants to sell but hates tire kickers and doesnt wanna start alot of activity in the yard and get the DEC involved. just wants to sell stuff off here and there
  3. id like to save the early C model to but only so much funds to go around so we are gonna work on the F model. there is also an MB401 way out back to in pretty rough shape. the Kenworth is actually a pretty nice restorable truck to for the brand X guys.
  4. yea, about the same truck. im gonna try to add it to the stable if i can.
  5. Dm is rough, cab is shot. has an 18 speed quadbox. the AB is also very rough, rusty, pitted and dented and smashed. ill see how easy he is to deal with on the F model. then we can move from there.haha
  6. tandem axle Bighorn with a cement mixer trailer???? wow those canadians have some odd trucks. twin steers, cement barell trailers. . .
  7. upstate, about 20 min north of albany. the guy bought the place from the original owner who was some big time millionaire. had his own airport and everything on the land and a pool inside his house. the new guy doesnt look like he has done much, everything is run down and Encon and DEC is on the guys ass to clean the place up. he wants to seel but wont part with much cheap. gonna try to buy the F model chain drive if its reasonable. got his number, gonna call him monday. the C model cab over is pretty sweet to except the front tires are gone and its sittin in about a foot of water. the whole place is built up a little and a lot of it is swampy. NEVER ever seen 12-15 AC Macks in one place before in my life and they been sittin there 40 years at least. he said someone offered him $3500 for one and he told them show up with cash and ill pull it out of the weeds and mud.
  8. Well on our way back from Balston Spa Ny truck show, made a little sidetrip by this old junkyard i knew about, never had a chance to stop but there was a truck for sale so figured this was my chance. made a few shockin discoveries. An Fh or FG Mack, a cabover early CX i think and the guy has at least 12-15 AC's in various states. he hates tire kickers and says he will load anything up and sell it if you show up with cash. said he paid 3500 a piece for the AC's and wont take any less. im going to try to pick up the F model if it can be bought reasonable. anyone have a clue what it is worth besides $250 a ton? even has a Mack script taillight like i have never seen before. it all there and complete but has an overhead valve gas engine thats red and looks like it came from a firetruck. dunno what is is but i imagine a EN510 or something. has double frame with no spreading. the cabover C model is all there and complete and saveable with an overhead valve engine as well. single axle. the AC's it looks like someone tried restoring a few at one time and gve up. there is also an AB hidden in the old barn. some of the AC's have the half cab and Bycyrus Erie cranes or some other kind mounted on them. Also was a big heavy DM800 with a bad cab and some odds and ends parts layin around, aluminum R model tanks and front axles, chain drive rears.
  9. yup PB blaster really works unlike WD40 thats basically just kerosene and a lubricant. i have sprayed some exhaust manifold bolts with it and left them overnight and they were loose.
  10. seen many 10.00 20s mounted on a 9.00 20 rim. they will fit, not sayin its right but they fit, just dont look right. sidewall doesnt bulge out as far either i dont think.
  11. ice except for the bumper. looks like it may have an extended fuel tank on driverside like Roadway and St Johnsbury use to run. have also seen a few trucks at macungie with these tanks.
  12. B72 probably had the regular nose but extended fender panels. then they did away with it and used the big radiator due to overheating. yup that truck was posted on here few months ago when he said he saved it. superdog air tanks and battery boxes and tanks. newer rears, didnt think any B models had the under mounted trunion bar. thought they all had the pods that mounted outside the frame and definately wasnt a firetruck, just a bad repain job. ugh, i hate when people paint the inside of a B model and do away with the classic green. newer than 62 tho as i think they started using the radiator crossmember with only two holes starting in 63, before that they all had 5 holes across the front.
  13. as far as i remember a 10 hundred 20 takes a wider rim than a 9.00 20 or 8.25 20. dont remember the exacts but i thought they were different. maybe the only one smaller is an 8.25 20 and the 10s and 9's do take the same width rim.thought the 10.00 20's take an 8 inch rim or 8 1/2 and the 9's and 8.25's are 7'' or 7 1/2 '' wide. someone else on here will chime in and know. just the many 9.00 20's i have junked we usually take the air out and cut the rim in three peices. makes it a lot easier than beating the tire off the rim and i recall the 9's havin a narrower rim. not sayin it wont fit, but might just not be right.
  14. looks like Mikey needs to do some damn weedeating!
  15. they look like B615's but dont see any V8 badge. could be just heavy spec B61's ordered with the kentucky radiator
  16. totally different truck, different fifth wheel along with bumper, steerin wheel and the one of arans has a cleaner interior. also arans has lighter rears by the looks of it maybe even timkins, the one of globals has 44 rears with heavy spokes and the old B model style wide wheel wedges .
  17. ole Waylon, the true nashville Rebel would never stand for that shit
  18. just wondering if anyone is going to the Gerhartz show and comin back with room on a trailer. i bought a B model firetruck in Somerset Pa and need it hauled back 7 hours to upstate Ny.seems everyone i had lined up to rely on to move it has backed out or had issues and left me with my ass in the air. even if you werent coming all the way as long as it got to Ny i could pick it up with my own truck and trailer. truck doesnt not run but the seller says he could arrange to have it pulled onto a trailer. as long as im in Ny im fine but have heard horror stories about running through western Pa.
  19. doesnt reall interest me althought it has a sweet steering wheel and original interior., my gut wont fit in that concave cab piece of junk haha. the b42 is junk, only one i like is the b61
  20. two? that moran wants 10 grand for all of them. he is out of his mind.
  21. some B42's has the smaller diameter steering column. it will work but you need the pitman arm for it cause it is different size along with the rubber mount for the dash. the pitman arm will work just need to take the draglink apart and the guts and reassemble with the smaller pitnam arm.
