What year was my B61 made?
Terry T replied to joep's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Several years back I loaded up "Thumper" at my place and hauled it to Mike's (Superdog on here) place some 360 miles away with this combination. -

If you're referring to Integrity Sales & Svc in Ft Wayne, IN. It's my understanding that they went out of business a few years ago. They were a customer of mine several years ago when I was selling parts at the local KW dealership where my friend, Shawn, still works. A Few weeks ago he and I were talking about crew cab class 6 trucks and I mentioned them which is when he told me they had gone out of business. He, personally, does a lot with Bolt as he has been in their parts dept for decades.

Bentz is no longer, Bolt is the new Bentz. History Bolt Custom Trucks and Manufacturing carries on the tradition begun by Bentz Transport Products in 1993. Bentz was founded as a manufacturer of after-market sleeper cabs and stainless accessories for medium and heavy-duty trucks. Over the years, the company evolved to focus on the needs of owner operators. Consequently, the company expanded into custom engineered and manufactured truck sleepers and cab modifications designed to meet customer specifications and unique application requirements. In 2010 the Bentz product line transitioned to new ownership and became known as Bolt Custom Trucks and Manufacturing. Bolt continued the tradition of manufacturing premier Custom Integrated Sleepers. In 2013, Bolt was restructured and purchased by Brian Callan, who leads the Bolt team as President and CEO. Expanded strategic operating and marketing processes are being installed in order to execute our business plan for increasing product innovation while maintaining a commitment to superior quality. We will meet and exceed our customer’s expectations for the ultimate in sleeper comfort and productivity. Contact us with your unique truck sleeper design and engineering specifications to make your life on the road the ultimate in comfort and success.

"there's only so many Camaro's and Mustang's you can look at" . Exactly! I'm a Chevy/Pontiac guy but come on people! 500 1969 Camaro's at one show it just a bit overkill... So neat to see AMC recognized.

It was a 3406, 400 with a 15speed deep reduction. The DR was a flip switch on the dash on the passenger side. Another angle of it.

These are the two 359's that I drove for my farmer friend for years until he replaced them with a couple 379's. Black one is an '85 and the green one is an '83.

Doesn't that 1970, that you got from me, have the pleated interior? Well, what's left of it.... -
2019 Rubber Duck Truck Reborn???
Terry T replied to Amos V.'s topic in Modern Mack Truck General Discussion
Dan posted some pics several weeks ago of his WS still being assembled on the JOT site. Sad that Mack wasn't interested in working with him but the WS looks very good. -
I'm on both forums but am unable to make the show. Both forums are now talking about moving picture time. If someone here that is also a member of JOT and can make the shows could chat on both forums and come up with different pic times that would probably be best.

Cam Lavin has one or two I believe. He's not a member here but I see him posting often on FB pages and might be a member at the Just Old Trucks forum. I'm not sure which FB pages I see him posting to but one might be the ATHS page & some of the Fallen Flags pages might also be someplace to look for him.

Red, White & Blue 1970s Mack Truck Mudflaps!

Was there some discussion, years ago, about Watt's repop'n these? -
My farmer friend is a Deere guy but he has one Allis that has good Heat/AC so it does most of the manure spreading in the winter and ditch mowing in the summer. He also has an 806 and a 966 that do various other jobs around the farms and an old M and an H that each run augers come harvest time. I haven't been able to work for him for more than 5 years now because of my full time job but come silage time I always liked to run the 806. It's a bit brisk in the early hours but at least I don't roast in the cab of the 966 from 11am until we're done!

This is the most authentic Rubber Duck there is. Dan Bruno put a lot of time & effort into this. It actually has parts from one of the original movie trucks and I think it uses that VIN. The trailer is one of two used in the movie as well. Dan sold the rig several years ago to Brad Wike who I think has since sold it and it may be in Georgia. On another site Dan did post pics of his new Western Star that will look like a "modern day" Duck truck. Single exhaust, blacked out, etc...

ODFL has Autocar spotters. One of our two (hopefully our new 3rd will also be) is an Autocar and the guys really like it. It runs hard about 16 hours a day and the only real issue we have had is that the rear door won't stay open and the step catwalk directly behind the cab (against it really) has come loose a couple times, I provided some locktite for the two nuts/bolts and that seems to have done the trick so far. -
Some of that good, quality, Chicago lawyering..... Not only the Mayor but the Police Chief and Union are down right pissed off about this!

G Model lifting weights
Terry T replied to 41chevy's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
I think they each weigh a bit more than 10K. I still carry some of my towing equip/tools on by K2500 Chevy and with my concrete ballast for the blade in the bed it weighs in at 7,100# without the blade. I ran it across our scale at work & it was 3,280 steer, 3,820 on the drive. -
When I'm having a bad day and wondering what could be worse I just simply tell myself "Terry, Look at it this way, you could be the safety director for Swift".

A big hand for Barry Holden
Terry T replied to fuzzy buzzard's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Thank you gentlemen. -
In Sept of 2000 I traded the 1993 K1500 that I ordered new for a 2000 K2500 that was on the lot for nearly a year and acquired 46 miles moving snow on the dealership lot. Mine is a 350 gas engine but has the cold weather package on it. In 19 years I've put 191K & change on it and a few grand in repairs, tires & maintenance but it has really never truly let me down. I think I'll be rebuilding the transmission soon but I just don't seem me replacing it any time soon.

Mack RD 690
Terry T replied to j hancock's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
When I was selling Mack's, in the previous century, often our Sales Manager would order extras of a spec if it was mostly typical. That is if customer "X" ordered 8 he would submit an order for 10 thinking that he might be able to talk the customer into the 2 extra as they would not all arrive at once and sometimes the end of the order might be months out. The other option was to just add the extras to the floor plan to have new stock. A long time customer ordered several RD's & RB's every year & we would always add on 3 or more to each order. There were several other customers who ran the same spec just because they had bought some of these "overages" years earlier. It is a sales advantage to have a common spec on the lot that works well for several customers. -
Merry Christmas Everyone!
