  1. Make better this way. If no results you will continue with bearings. Don't mix the sources of the issue up. Divide them and follow step-by-step.
  2. 2:1 - good count. Who shortened out the RS's frame? And how does the shoulder?
  3. Quit high for me. Do you have flanges with 8 bolts around on the ends of pinion shafts for attaching propeller shafts or a U-part of a joint just out from the carrier? As for vibrations I also think around hubs or rims/wheels are out of a circle. You can try to jack each wheel, place some wooden block or any other static subject aside a tread area and look for a clearance turning the wheel over. A source of vibration must be an out of round shape, disbalanse or axle play of any heavy turning part. Propeller shafts also can though. Maybe you have water inside the tyres? I met that issue at once.
  4. You need a set of shims to fix up a point of contact. Set pinion and a gear in sertain position, apply some paint on teeth, load driven gear and turn. Then look for a painted trace. You need the trace at the center of driven teeth, make it up moving gears by putting shims. If a gear set isn't wored out too much you have good chances with 5-6 steps.
  5. Do you mean Mack-built Sherman transmissions?
  6. Did THEY look for your AC's right after you lighted out on Facebook?
  7. I continue to surprize guys about the country you living - hogs, elks and owls are everywhere! I used to see cats and dogs only around the roads. Maybe cows sometimes when cruising village areas.
  8. What the ratio do you have in your carriers?Maybe I will have an interest for gears if you really get another bogie roll in.
  9. For first you can put some pictures and the description on here. There are many factors such as a type of an engine/tranny, tyre's condition, truck's location and of course a general appearence. Vlad
  10. 1K for 2 nights for how many persons?
  11. Happy B-day! Enjoy the day, life and your Macks!
  12. The truck is in Holland, owned by Van den Herik. Not shure about Detroit under the hood. The truck was restored by Martin Monne shop in Holland. The owner has some other Macks including Superliner and the DM you can see on the background. All the trucks painted white-yellow-black. The unit behind the cab was made looks like a ballast body but really it's a camper.
  13. I suppose BW means Bendix Westinghouse. Doesn't it?
  14. Thanks for sharing. Interesting to see your neck of the woods. You remember, I look for all the woods.
  15. Yea, that page requires Facebook registration. I want to keep myself out of. Sorry.

  18. Your welcome Paul
  19. I also surprized when heared, but it's in a bad shape yet. So I will need to rework it in the future. My truck has a sleeper originally. Hope there are factory screw holes.
  20. The guy I bought my R from fabricated new boot of a piece of fire fighting hose
  21. Weekends are good time. Make some street pictures, I have never been to NYC
  22. Thank you, I'll keep that all in mind. I have no plans for my R during this winter. Not pleasure to work laying in snow, unable to drive out due to lot of ice on my street's pavement. I live a little not run-through street in a village near the city. Neibourghs open windows and look with wide opened eyes each time I drive Mack to/out of my home.
  23. Hi Paul, Sevastopol seige was so long because of constant Russian attacks from the outside front. Germans couldn't storm the city due to needs of other battles. Only after they took victory on the whole Crym they could seriousely fight Sevastopol. As book told me, Germans started artillary preparation on June 2nd 1942. It continueus 5 days, Odin and Thore made 18 shots, Dora made 7 shots on June 7th with no one into the aim. On the 6th day Germans started to attack with a cover of artillary, Odin and Thore made 54 shots. Main Russian artillary power in Sevastopol consisted of 2 batteries of ship turrels, each had 4 turrels with 2 guns of 305 mm. They were well fortificated. Germans got the city finally on July 4th only.So the figure you interested is 250-33=217 days. Don't know Paul of what that model was made, it is placed in General Marshall Museum in the Netherlands. 24. I have one more subsequental portion of parts recieved today. There are chrome plated hood latches , Torrington needle bearing for NR steering box (only one of 2 required) and... They came! R model head light surrounds! Now I can make up my R's original arrangement. All the parts are from PAI. Thanks a lot to Rob, he sent me PAI #'s some monthes ago. When I got the parts in my hands I thought "why these aluminium plates were so thin? They didn't look enough as truck parts." After get home I started to open the plastic pack and surprized they were too heavy to be of aluminium. And to my more surprize and a great pleasure I saw they're stainless
  25. I have two Canadian R's. Both with Mack Maxitorque. And I'm happy about this fact.
