  1. Happy Thanksgiving to all! I feel myself I'm late a bit. Nice turkey Tom, I was really afraid to see an owl on the grill, isn't it?
  2. Shure it's easier having a separate A box. My way is fighting original components. With inside modifications if they are provided good. I haven't opened a gearbox yet, the time to collect ideas around.
  3. I wish I could have it adding to my little collection of army Macks. Too far and expensive shipping and other unfinished projects..
  4. I liked that truck just when I saw it first but didn't note she's your. Mudflaps look good, nice they're left and right pictured.
  5. I also noted that strange but came into solution I missed something important in English language. Although 'parallel' in Russian spells 'parallel'.
  6. I suppose my parcel crossed the sea in the same while and covered by dust somewhere in customs or Russian post service. The package was broken, probably someone of customers was looking for the E9 info... I'm shure no one E9 runs in Russia now though.
  7. Bob, I see at least two barriers to go that way.At first the A box wich is Mack built fits to the main with a gear fitted to the rear end of the main box spline shaft. That gear mates to A contershaft's constant mesh. And makes A low. A direct is realized by locking of main and A spline shafts just unifying them. So changing from A with low into A OD I need to change a set of a auxillary with a gear from the end of main box spline shaft. Haven't many ideas from where to get disassembled box with gears that shure fits into mine. And there is a second issue. The A box made to supply intermedian steps for the main. The last one has too big step betveen 3rd and 4th. The man who drives completely the same truck told me he shifts 2h-3h-4l-4h-5h(OD) I had the idea to change gear set of 5th(OD) in main box for 3rd from another any one and get inter step I need. But I loose main box OD that way. Can try to do that having extremely high rears, on my count near 5.7. What the engine your LJ actually has?
  8. Does anybody know how to download pictures from ebay? Have a real lust to keep 'em.
  9. I'm also for a tractor. Looks pretty cool with.
  10. Too rare vehicle. I never heared about any examples survived. That one has aftermarket platform with crane booms.
  11. Great video! I saw some pictures of that race in the net before. Can add, Def Leppard is lovely, also Kiss, Metallica, Priest, Maiden and AC/DC is a true classic to me. The lasts were in Moscow with a concert in 1989. The first rock concert I vent to. Black Crows, Metallica and AC/DC.
  12. Bob, I just came in a line of you and Dodgeman discussion, that's why mistakes got place.
  13. Not that way Bob. I have Mack TRD37 duplex tranny with Mack ED Lanova 131bhp unit. Main box with 0.78 and auxillary high direct. Rears are Mack camelback that looks quit the same as on your LJSW. Maybe less heavy rating. With classic 9.02's. I'm planning the truck for long trips in the future so looking for highway speeds. Thinking about change rears or something in the gearbox although a bit in a doubt about not too powerfull engine. The truck has his netto 10 metric tons.
  14. Nice colors Tom! Do you mean the traces in the sky of this kind?
  15. I say I like it. Looks good, contens all the main info, works quick, needs neither brain storms to find what you need. Contacts with a working google map. All the chances to be the perfect! Just neither T-shorts
  16. I saw in Germany and France and some other European countries highways are surrounded with a net border for all the lenght. It's very good for protection from wild life being around a lot. I personally met some randys on roads in Norway but these roads were local with low speeds. And that was in extremely northen part of the country, the areas of low human habitation.
  17. Too interesting. I have TRD37 in the NR with 5th OD 0.78 and auxilary 1.34/direct, 11.0024 (12.00R24 now, that look the same od then 11.0024) and 9.02 rears. A manual gives me 37.7 mph on 5th. I would be happy having 50 although afraid of change steps between gears getting rears too faster. Does anybody have an experience changing gears in a box, not whole a unit? Dodgeman - if you have your gearbox on a floor you can count shafts revolutions. If not... Mine's book conteins all the ratios for all gears, it's war department though.
  18. Nice work Vinny! It was good you could put a part of what you like into your common life. That is a little episide but it's the way to make a really happy faith.
  19. Now I wonder why you guys have neither dash cams to fix deers, hogs, owls and other "funny" subjects on the way.
  20. Who knows what was the peak of the storm?..
  21. It was not Winny because it was not U but R! So he hadn't seen her.
  22. Nice looking rigs. Especially Brockway.
  23. Very good find! Early series and in a good shape. Glad you have got her.
  24. Im'm shure it's better to fill the system with a content of solid package mixed with a distilled water in recommended proportion. On practic I have mixed different kinds of products of colours blue and green, different ages of work in a systems, with water from a water pipe and so on. Had neither issues. One time i had a boiling in a forest because of radiator break/leak, added pair of liters from a pool in a forest aside the road and drove far enough. Had the cooler repaired when came home and changed that mixture. Have had no troubles with that engine for many years after. And it was not END but 1985 Mercedes V8 with alluminium block/linings/heads.
  25. I have to note you folks have too dangerous roads. But I'm glad about good envirement. Here in Russia 'm hearing stories from some guys from time to time about somebody hits elk or a wild pig. Personally I have told with the only man who got an elk. And it was nearly 15 years ago. He was happy having space enough to brake, hited the animal by a side of his car at rear. Mercedes 190 got body damage with a carcass screwed, the gus was Ok. There were too many illegal hunters overhere so you have extremely low chances to meet wild creatures in a field of view. It's in the central area I'm living though. I see many dead cats ang dogs aside roads but neither big victims. Randy, glad you got out that time ok.
