  1. I have looked all the tread now, and want to say: Nice trucks guys, I like them all !
  2. Awesome truck ! Tandem looks good. Maybe the truck looks strange with spokes in front / Budd's in rear. Seeing the picture I'm for spokes. The wheel base is relatively shot so single axle would be also good. Although I like tandems. Best wishes to keep her moving ! Vlad
  3. Thank you guys, It's a big pleasure for me to have so many invitations. And I'm really glad to know there are many good people in our world. I'll probably not too quick and can only add now of if anybody of you have a plan to visit Russia I'd be also glad to spend a time to keep your best owerhere. David, if I'll come one day I'll be ready to help you to organize Vlad
  4. Well, you can keep your body clean now ! Sorry, it isn't a shampoo. Nice piece of Mack Vinnie, glad you have it
  5. You guys living in a good country. If I buy a car/truck with no title or have a chassis number wrong I have NO chances to register it and drive. Vlad
  6. Have never seen Hayes or something looks like on roads owerhere
  7. The cab is local built, wooden-framed with metal roof. I have one at the yard. Front fenders couldn't be mistaken but most other has their own design. Anyway all Soviet after-the-war automotive production had big influence from American technik that was in great quantities supplied under Lend-Lease. So you can note some things from different US vehicles of that time. Interesting fact - first pre-production prototype had just L-model cab. Vlad
  8. Olive, I noted it in my mind. Will post everything interesting from my nearest trip. Just don't wait for pictures with a content of trucks the mark you most like Vlad
  9. Mike, an END 672 is a late series Lanova in the relation to ED Lanova of Mack NR. That one is of 519 cu.in. and has 131 bhp. It's probably the first production Mack engine with Lanova combustion chamber. There were Buda - Lanova diesels put into Mack trucks earlier. That's strange to me that NR model was built basically as an L although I didn't fix still any L's with ED. The ED's were used in some early F series also. Vlad
  10. Murray, Glad about you have no great problem for NR parts. It isn't so at me although I met a guy in Holland who's very friendly and helps alot. There are mostly big works at me with no hard needs of parts at the moment. Looking forward I'll need lots of. All the best, Vlad
  11. I'm feeling myself I'm always too late. Happy B day! Vlad
  12. Thank you Brocky, I'm just stopping me of dreaming.. Macugnie in June is the serious point to think about. There is a lot of plans for this year but for the next - it's clean now. Anyway I'm pleased too much keeping the BMT company. It gives me a chance to learn more around my most favorite trucks and have a vision into another part of the world. Vlad
  13. Yea, I was double liked starting with my NR because it was to me both Mack and YaAZ. Vlad
  14. Mike, What the L Mack you write about and what the Lanova it has under a hood? I'm in interest though still doesn't fix any L's with ED. Vlad
  15. My favorite non-Mack is the truck of my country's origin - YaAZ. Production years were 1951-1958. It's structure based on 40's Mack NR series although with a lot of differences. Most chassis including front axle and Camelback are too close to Mack but reworked to metric. The engine was two stroke, a copy of 6-71. There were 5 speed gearbox and 2 speed transfer case. Two parallel propeller shafts came to axles with no interaxle diff. Cab has wooden structure with wooded outside lining on early series. Nearly 20,000 units were produced. The only one survived is known at the moment. Keeped in a closed army area with no chances to get it off. Vlad
  16. I have a tank with airation, it has a small compressor inside. An air allows bacteria to grow. They converts the income of a kind we don't like to a "clear" water. That water smells a bit from time to time. Newertheless it has being pumped out to a nearest downhill. All works automatically. Interesting that every inside intersection pumping provides by compressed air. There was a nice time 6 years ago. I came out from my wife. The haus I'm living now wasn't built enough. There was light and heating but no water and out piping. In addition the floor was a non-covered concrete. The pleasure of the moment was that it was a January and a temperature of near - 30 celsias continued during 2-3 weeks. Each morning I begined with a nice trip to the outhouse. Visit to McDonalds was a good chance to wash hands good with a hot water. Vlad
  17. I have never been to America, must make a trip one day. I was impressed been seeing Dead Horse in Utah (on a picture). No doubt U.S. is a great area conteins lots of beauty. And no words could describe an attraction of Mack trucks. Anyway I need a visa and at least a month of a free time. But I want to and I'll make it  Vlad
  18. No problems Murray, I have a lot of to do about a chassis. There is a warm time this monthes so a big stuff must been constructed. All the best, Vlad.
  19. Nice looking place Olive ! What is the name of Ozark? Is this a city or an area? Vlad
  20. What the strange for U-model hood? Isn't it a west coast U? Or maybe just some excessive amount of fiberglass was used for its produce?
  21. It's a good practice to cover many household needs in one place. You just only need to look over all the stuff you bought in a week or two. And to note what have you utilized and what you haven't a time for. Next visit the shop remember things of what you bought and have to fit/rebuilt/remove/repaint/attach and so on. It helps to avoid shop gasket overfill. Vlad
  22. Greetings, Murray, The following numbers are from Mack NR 1944 Ordnance supply catalog, so they are old. Although maybe they could help. Connecting rod bearing M-62GB 1138 or a pair M-62 GBA 1154 Crank Main center lower M-64 GB 1190A upper M-64 GB 1335A Main front lower M-64 GB 1154A upper M-64 GB 1321A Main intermadiate lower M-64 GB 1172A upper M-64 GB 1328A Main rear lower M-64 GB 1208A upper M-64 GB 1342A Bearing set (all main's) M-64 GBA 1999 All the numbers are of std size bearings, there are also .001 , .002 , .010, .020, .030, .040 and .050 U.S. (marked this way so probably + .00.. inches). Interesting to know what did you do about cylinder linings. In a reference to piston rings. Did you keep a standard size? I haven't the engine apart still but it is stuck. The man who sold it to me said he has heads removed and saw two cylinders were rotted (I think it's typical) So I'll probably need to change linings or pistons. And see a parts problem in the horizont line. Most modern parts are avalible here but old ones are difficult. All the best, Vlad
  23. The first picture shows two China-made "Signatures". Both are relatively good when looking from a distance. Has worthy made suspension and neither fire pumps, imitation only. There are also proportional mistakes as wind screen size and others. I'm thinking to rebuilt EH to a correct form one day and mayby convert it into EHU cabover tractor... But where is the time for ?? Three R's at the second shot are German production Sicu of 70's-80's. A friend of mine bought them for my smile, he lives in Germany. The last one white R is Solido, has good condition because wasn't a toy but an advertizing souvenire. Vlad
