  1. Yes......YES that's the look , right there. See ? that looks even cooler than that off white Galaxie you posted a few days back. (not an easy order to fill)
  2. He had to have at least some type of adaptor if not an actual manifold. Also would have to have some way to convert it to belt drive. I don't doubt you saw what you saw.... but it's a little more involved than what you're describing. The 6-71 was the popular choice wit hot rodders, and some were actually an aftermarket copy of the GMC blower. One thing there's no debating ??? they're cool. 😎
  3. See Joey, here's an N12 from back when the 903 was available. Note the stack on the left of that handsome truck.
  4. Years later those guys with the dark blue tractors and flatbeds had the stack on the left (Melton?) and if I remember correctly the homely Volvos did too . !!! fun factoid that has absolutely nothing to do with the 903 !!!
  5. Wasn't the original Mov'n On truck a VT903
  6. I like the way you think 😏
  7. Hmmm....a little bit like Swishy's spotto posts. I forgot all about the Browns
  8. And to think.....here in 2022 I'd be dumping scrap on the concrete floors left from Dana in Reading. Never knew that's what went on there.
  9. Seriously, looks like without a trailer it'd be dangerous if you stopped fast.
  10. Wonder what driving one of those tall ones was like.
  11. I'm almost positive ...if they aren't, they're Federals I'm pretty sure they're Corbitts though being where they are.
  12. They're Corbitts
  13. Looks like maybe a Fageol (?)
  14. Ever think you'd like looking at a 7000 series White back when they were everywhere , and think "WOW.... that's cool" ?
  15. Super charged large displacement 90 degree V8...... I bet it does sound awesome . Wonder if anyone ever tried putting a super charger on an E9
  16. On the mend.... I like it 🙂
  17. The pieces look big, which means less chance they made it through the screen.
  18. It's a project. Point I was trying to make was the block and crank might not be compromised. That milky oil needs to come out of everything too . ( Jake's ) old engines were prone to putting, they didn't have as many products to help prevent it years back. Sitting for years then....
  19. Might have been rotted around the groves for the O rings. This isn't looking like an easy fix by any means, but it may not turn out to be much more than basically an "in frame" Hopefully you'll get lucky.
  20. That suspension has been around for a while . If I remember correctly it had the most articulation of anything at the time (now TufTrac is close) They were marketed as "The Gripper" or something like that. That was back when Volvos were really homely. M Ride with double reduction drive axles, pretty hard to beat in the back of something going through soggy uneven ground.
  21. That looks like a place a guy could spend a couple hours looking at stuff and BS'n and FYI that one dog is displaying a little more than just (his) butt 😀
  22. Gotta watch the holes in the spring like Onyx said. They can be way bigger than the dowel on the new pad if the spring is shot . The buckets too, if they're rotted enough on the inside and enough metal is missing they won't squish anything like it needs to be. Most of the better pads are colored or clear, and the top ones may be black . Tops don't get the pound'n like the bottom ones.
  23. Sounds like someone "got it " in THE can
  24. Anything that could cause that isn't good. Maybe you'll get lucky... hope it isn't too bad.
  25. Just to be clear, I didn't mean to sound as if comparing which was worse ( they're both serious injuries ) Most of us on here have had some injury but those two were pretty bad. Thing with all of them is when it does happen, it's seconds. Everyone thinks when seeing pictures like those..... then a few weeks later we become complacent and back to old bad habits.
