Vegas rat rods and her? H\That Steve Darnell is doin' pretty good. I did that Bug over for my wife, diving lessons did not go well, she just couldn't get comfortable with it. Ended up selling it.

So after a lot of twisting, cut up hands and general cursing I got all the airlines in the dash, dash lights repaired, some wires replaced and a new marker light switch, got everything back together. I have one more air leak out of the bell shaped valve(?) nippled to the spin on filter (i think water seperator also). I know when I don't know something, does anyone know what that thing is for?

The 66 I almost bought had them in the headlight panels (pretty sure they were using up excess B Model parking lights). My 67 has them in the fenders.

Bought these clodhoppers 3 weeks ago, Chinese Chippewas size 14 wide, have worn them just a couple of times they feel pretty good, we;ll see how they hold up. I'm just too damn cheap to buy 3=4 hundred dollar boots. Plus I usually wear a 15 but some times a 14 will fit. I looked at the size charts for the high dollar boots and found very few 15's

Yup I put on an extra tank and it already had a shut off valve which I didn't know was there until I met the original owner at a truck show and he filled me in on a lot of stuff.

Some blood, some pain, a possible trip to the chiropractor and the air manifold thing is out. That thing is definitely getting relocated someplace else. the low air switch was on top of this up against the bottom of the dash, that would explain the newer one mounted at the wheel sander control. I didn't know the Autocar factory was staffed by sadists. Now that I've got everything apart, I'm seeing wiring that I don't like the looks of. Might as well.........

Actually filed with used fryolator oil for smokey burnouts just like I used to do with my 65 impala after work at the York Steak House when I was 16
