  1. Thanks Rob The B color was easy, It was on a post here, R color has ben more elusive
  2. Had a chance to work on the pick up for the first time since about October. Pick up body panels prepped, primed and almost all painted, Need to do rear panel over, I was in the process of wiping it down, got distracted (oh, look a squirrel!), forgot to wipe it down and sprayed over a bunch of lumpy stuff. I still need to do one side of 2 large panels anyway. Welded up a license plate frame from some aluminum u channel which will hold recessed leds. Should have the shell all together this wee then on to the fenders and tailgate. Felt good to get something done on it.
  3. Have to run a wire off the cold side of the brake light switch to avoid that. This way it's isolated from the turn signals. Finding that switch buried in the dash was the hardest part.
  4. I just used a regular straight electric controller in my Kenworth. Works perfect. I couldn't see the extra benefit in an air/electric unit but there must be a reason for them.
  5. Austin is basically the San Francisco or Cambridge of the south.
  6. Body upfitters have to put a tag on after they mount a body or equipment on a new truck. Must have been a fruehauf van body on a straight Kenworth
  7. For 10K the least he could do would be to get it out of the weeds and close the sleeper vent
  8. These just popped up down the street from my shop. They belong to a local trah guy that went out of business a few years ago. They were stored at a lot he owned and the yuppies that lived nearby kicked and screamed and basically threw a tantrum until he took them off the property that HE owned LONG BEFORE they moved in. Don't know where they've been the last couple of years but I'm happy they didn't get scrapped or anything. He was still using the B42 to drag some of his stuff around last time I talked to him.
  9. Crane truck has a generator on it we'll be all set but we'll still have to plow the driveway.
  10. What a delusional maggot
  11. I thought he was kidding until I saw it on Craigslist for the same price
  12. Deep reduction wouldn't kick in today when i took it for a ride, think that would be related?
  13. Thanks Carlot I'm assuming it shouldn't be constantly passing air right?
  14. Percentage wise your'e not doing too bad considering all that square footage that youv'e already done that looks perfect
  15. Vegas rat rods and her? H\That Steve Darnell is doin' pretty good. I did that Bug over for my wife, diving lessons did not go well, she just couldn't get comfortable with it. Ended up selling it.
  16. So after a lot of twisting, cut up hands and general cursing I got all the airlines in the dash, dash lights repaired, some wires replaced and a new marker light switch, got everything back together. I have one more air leak out of the bell shaped valve(?) nippled to the spin on filter (i think water seperator also). I know when I don't know something, does anyone know what that thing is for?
  17. The 66 I almost bought had them in the headlight panels (pretty sure they were using up excess B Model parking lights). My 67 has them in the fenders.

    Work boots

Bought these clodhoppers 3 weeks ago, Chinese Chippewas size 14 wide, have worn them just a couple of times they feel pretty good, we;ll see how they hold up. I'm just too damn cheap to buy 3=4 hundred dollar boots. Plus I usually wear a 15 but some times a 14 will fit. I looked at the size charts for the high dollar boots and found very few 15's
  19. Call Hagerty Insurance to see if they write policies in Alabama.
