  1. Thats nice !! Good find. Plans for it yet ? or still deciding ?
  2. Cheers ! Happy B day !
  3. Thanks so much for sharing pics. The less fortunate like me, sure do appreciate it !
  4. Looking at the pics of what you started with. Its amazing how good that looks!! Just a thought about your tie downs. One of my floats has "D" rings on the deck as well as the sides. I was going to cut them off when I bought the float. I decided to leave them for a bit. Now I don't know how I got along without them. They are handy for old tractors. Probably too late now its painted, but just a thought for whenever. Great job!!! Thanks for sharing with us.
  5. Wow !! Thanks for the lesson . I never would have guessed that could happen. I hope you have a speedy recovery. Keith
  6. That's a good thing to have . I have said I am going to get one for the snowplow. There is always stupid things going on around me when I am plowing. Think it would be good to have proof of the idiot passing me doing 90 kph then spinning out and bouncing off the one way. Then saying they were doing 3o and I hit them.
  7. Happy Victoria Day to my fellow canucks !!! My first day off in a long time. I spent the day summerizing(if thats a word) my snowplow. Pulled the tires, oiled the crap out of everything. All in all … a great day. 41Chevy, I'm impressed you know about Vicky. I would bet half of Canadians don't know we are celebrating Queen Victoria's birthday. They just know its a day off.
  8. I've been driving my 2 stick 6 speed like you for the last 17 years. I'm sure its wrong (like every thing else i do ) But it seems to work better for what I do.
  9. Cool truck !!! I can definitely see the resemblance . Think its the big windshield. Like his big eyes
  10. I would be very happy with that on any one of my Macks. Good job!!!
  11. Thanks O dog, for the great pics ! I didn't know puny was Canadian. I learn something new every day. Look forward to your pics every week!
  12. I can't believe thats the same truck. GREAT JOB!
  13. Looks like a good solid truck ! Thanks for sharing . My buddy just bought a 1985 as a parts truck for his project he is working on (The one I posted) . Its a highway tractor with a 400 cummins. Very neat truck. Has the original paint on it. Unfortunately salt has got the best of the frame. I didn't have my phone to take a pic. He is waiting for me to go pick it up for him. I will post some pics when I go get it.
  14. Welcome aboard ! We would love to see some pics of your 86 . Keith
  15. You might be in luck! One of the last times I was at the licence office, the guy ahead of me somehow got his VIN messed up when he did his emission test - there is a form that has to be filled out by an authorized person ( dealer, appraiser) and the ownership can be changed - with you it is legit - you have a show truck you want correct in all ways - even the build date ,
  16. BAD DOG , licence fees have got stupid over the last 2 years. The government say they are helping us. But they seem to be shoving it up the ass of anyone with a truck. I have never had to show my CVOR to get plates or renewals. Do you have a plate now, and need the renewal sticker? Or need the plate too? I licensed my highway tractor for 8000 KG last year because I wasn't moving anything. I think it was between 2-3 hundred dollars for 3 months. My corn binder has a historic plate on it. But vehicle has to be 30 years old. No safety sticker required. That doesn't help you till 2019. You don't have a 1985 or older V.I.N plate for the door ? lol It might be worth the drive to my part of the world. I am thinking the licence office is going by the letter of the law. I know there is a licence office south of me that won't renew my plates if they are already expired. They want you to start from scratch. That doesn't work with me. I don't keep valid plates on the snowplow in the summer ,or valid plates on the dump truck in the winter. Hope it helps a little. Feel free to message me if you want. Keith
  17. WOW !!! Great job. Thanks again for sharing with us.
  18. Can't wait to see the "After" picture.
  19. Great job ! Its going to be too nice to drive. Hopefully its ok to right side your pics.
  20. Thanks everyone for the pics and info. I had never heard of a BIG AL . I knew you guys could enlighten me. Thanks 41 chevy , I absolutely love the A-car ,and the story. I'm with you though, the longer it sits , the less it will be worth to anyone. Hopefully one day you can save it. A great piece of history there. Keith
  21. Rained out today. So I'm spending time on the computer. I came across something interesting on another forum, and thought I would share it here. This is the text copied from the ad, just in case its not readable. BIG AL. is 450 cool running horsepower . low oil temp . low exhaust temp . turbo charged intercooled . compact 6-cylinder open chamber direct injection diesel. He's two-million mile performance proved . eats grades . hoards fuel. Available now in leading makes of trucks. We paint him Royal Purple because he's special. Two special demo rigs with purple BIG AL engines are criss-crossing the country now. Making truck stops all over. Look for BIG AL . Try him yourself. For full specs, check the truck manufacturers or their dealers. or call (312) 339 - 3300 . or write to Allis-Chalmers Engine Division, Box 563, Harvey, Illinois 60426 Drive BIG AL…..he's king ! I found a u tube video also . Just a little about it toward the end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eglqWUkVwyk Would the special demo rigs be Freightliners ? Hopefully some experts can add to this. Keith
  22. Vlad, my invoice has part # 18QX416P2 I'm not sure about the SL2 at the end of the # A side glass in 2010 cost me $ 53.90 . I know you are looking for green tint. These are not green tint . But the tint is so light I don't think anyone but you would know the difference . …But I've been wrong before..
  23. Any glass I have bought , does not have the metal on it Vlad. I have a new tinted one in the shop , I will see if there is a part # on it. 5 years ago you could still buy them at Mack , probably no longer available now
  24. Can't believe the shape of that. Not hard to tell that hasn't seen salt. Very nice!!
  25. Unplug or take out the left turn lights one at a time. If the problem goes away its in the bulb or led unit. I have seen this before. Might not be this, but easiest spot to start. Next is a short in the wiring. Can be a little more difficult to find. Good luck O , and Welcome to BMT
