  1. Been a while so best get cracking There you all go, enough excitement for one day Paul
  2. I dunno if I agree with a lot of whats been said I dont like anyone telling me what to do with my toys and I dont tell anyone else what to do If they wanna sell or just keep them as they rust away thats their business and I respect them for that As to the truck were talking about, good luck with it as it looks like a lotta work Paul
  3. I do recall this and have tried searching for information about the moto6and his conversion Not a lot to be found on the interweb Some sites claim it never ran and he was a con man, others claim he was 100% legit and fuel companies are behind it We will never know Paul
  4. Apparently we have had ultra low sulphur diesel in Australia since 2009, I had no idea what you blokes are even talking about so had to do some googling Long and the short of it is that I have never had a drama and dont know of anyone having dramas I have never added anything but just straight diesel to the tanks and have never had a issue A bit like ethanol ULP, thats all I use and I add nothing and dont have any dramas even in small petrol engines So either Im the luckiest man alive or other people get caught up in the B.S. Paul
  5. Impressive pictures there Thanks for sharing Paul
  6. Only idea l have is timing isnt right, sorry no other ideas from me Paul
  7. Earthmoving style rims have that o ring your talking about when tubeless As far as spacers go, if you find you need a wider spacer just weld a bit of 3/8 rod around, if still need more space weld another piece of 3/8 rod around the other side Just need to make sure the wedges dont bottom out on duels Paul
  8. I just watched this tonight Thats a pretty cool looking car, one of my favorite youtube channels The more I watch the more I like Jay Leno For me thats a pretty big statement Great stuff Paul
  9. The business end of the truck Looks in reasonable nick
  10. Looking pretty sad but I guess it served it's purpose Not something I would have done cutting the chassis but it's not mine so none of my business Plenty of trucks are stretched, then shortened, then stretched before their lives are over It doesn't seem to weaken the chassis if done right Good luck Paul
  11. Sorry I some how have missed this till now, great story Paul
  12. I was only telling my brother about this truck a few weeks ago as he was talking about getting a 6x6 something or other but has also thought about a Cruiseliner or Ultraliner I suggested maybe between a exarmy 6x6 R model and a Cruiseliner he could make something pretty special, even sent him the link to the specs on these and the Australian Army R models , same front axle and transfer case in both I believe Anyway he bought a Tatra 6x6 375 hp job from QLD Goes ok he tells me but I doubt it will ever have the cool factor Paul
  13. Sure was a different movie, when it aired on local tv my parent's let me stay up late and watch it I left a mark on my mind, I bought the dvd a few years ago and the Princess just laughed and talked all the way thru, she is banned from watching truck movies with me 🤔 This means I hardly ever get to watch what I want any more Paul
  14. Princess had a John Deere ride on with rhe Kwacka (Kawasaki to none Australian parts of the world) and it 26 years old and out lasted the mower by a long way I had to put a coil on it and new brushes in the starter motor, a incredible little motor and cut well over a acre of lawn ever week or so for all of those years Paul
  15. South Africa did this in the days of Apartheid They made parts for everything and did for many many years Paul
  16. This I feel is the biggest reason in Australia that internet sales have taken off The store just doesn't want to deal with the problem at all If I buy it over the internet and have a problem a fresh one is on the way thr next day, no arguments, no "do you have the docket" It just happens And the otgerother thing you mention, they only want to sell you whats on the floor not what you want Paul
  17. Could you explain this a little further I have no idea about Sears as they were never in Australia, curious as to what and why Paul
  18. I would be guessing the add spares are coming thru a country thst doesn't have sanctions with the US Paul
  19. One heck of a ute Looks like it has the worlds biggest thermo fan Paul
  20. I have never known of this happening to anyone before Very unlucky but also very lucky if that makes any sense Good luck sorting it out Paul
  21. Fully hot rodded !! Looks like it's had some work done to it over the years, but what old truck hasn't Should be quite race car running around bob tail Paul
  22. My other hobbie is Caterpillar crawler tractors and bulldozers And what is ready for the scrap heap in tthe US is still getting used in Australia Even our Mack trucks, even though a lot more plentiful in Australia than Russia we are using them commercially a lot longer than they get used i the State's I think it's the cost to buy them new is great compared to the US so we wear them out a lot further Paul
  23. CMAAC was released in Australia in 1983 as far as I know, most things get released in Australia a year or two after the US A bit like the Anthem, theres been one or more out here getting modified and tested but none released for public sale yet So to me it is very probable that this is was released with this motor 2V and CMAAC as I believe 2 valve motors were still available Fabulous stuff Vlad Paul
  24. Fantastic stuff Vlad, Im sure it will be well worth all the effort It always amazes me how how I read on the forum that in America people wont buy something a few hundred miles away as it's to far to travel yet you and I will travel thousands and thousands of km to what most in the US would class as rubbish Fantastic story looking forward to reading the rest of it Paul
  25. I reckon you can still get parts for them pretty easy, just not in the states thats all That to some might be a drama but most of us have smart phones and credit cards so it's not the big drama and is only a click or two and a week or so wait to get stuff from the other side of the world The midliner( with out the bonnet or hood as you blokes call them ) are pretty much the same truck and cab as the coe midliner the rest of the world know about So dont throw the towel in just yet Paul
