  1. A tri-axle trailer in CT has very little benenfit. Lets you to gross 80k on 95 from West haven to NY besides that its just additional weight.
  2. Gustafson was brought to court by mack but im not sure what the outcome was. Obviously vovlo is still ruining it everyday but did keep it alive and being a died out company. But anyways the newer cabovers are ugly. Nothing like the old KWs and F models or G-models, etc.
  3. the guy with the first post on this page has the paint codes for it and probably the name.
  4. Green KW is a Ex-Moffo truck. He still has one siting in the yard.
  5. I see that Golia truck picking up sand all the time and its a very very nice truck.
  6. Paul Ronceti asked me to post these. Mashpee's retired brush breaker and their new IH.
  7. They came down in the 90s and bought up a few quarries. Then they went out and Haynes has them all now.
  8. Nice classic normal looking triaxle A-car hauling into our yard today.
  9. I could never figure out what was so hard about flipping that button. Guys never do it with 8lls.
  10. Sounds like a 6 speed but that wouldn't have a air button in the dash. A 12 speed also cou;d be it. But i thought only the 2nd shifter for them was to go into low low unless maybe there were different types.
  11. Sounds like our new DMV guys. Heard some stories. One pulled over one of our trucks. Driver saw him going the other way and he did a U turn and pulled him over. Says "you look a bit overloaded" so the driver told him to look at the ticket sitting on the seat and that the permit is in the folder behind it. Didnt ask for anything else. Didn't care if it was insured or registered. Just thought it was a bit overloaded. When he was happy with that he says "im a new old guy" and starts laughing and walks away. State Police on the other hand.... Had one tell us our truck wasn't within its inspection. On the inspection sticker it says "Date completed" he couldn't get that through his mind that the inspection was just completed and still good. Trying to explain that to the prosecutor was even worse. Wanted us to the bring the door of the truck in so he could say it even thought he brought a sample sticker. Its getting worse with these town cops trying to be truck inspectors now too. They try to write tickets for legal stuff.
  12. I have to get a good pic of my departments '38 to post. all the ones i have are too dark
