  1. Used road rangers calculator. Put a 1:1 ratio with 11r24.5s. According to that it wil go around 58 at 2100. I wonder how accurate that is cause our rd does 70 at 1700 with 4.42s and a 8ll. According to that chart it should only go like 49 or so.
  2. Says it has a M6-300. M for maxidyne? instead of E. Either way it has a 350 in it now. Still runs the same and still out pulls the big Cats on the hills.
  3. Positive. Has a inter cooler on it. Says econodyne on the side of the hood. I believe the build sheet say it too. Ill have to check.
  4. We got a r with 11r24.5s with a direct 6 on 4.17s and it goes 75-80.
  5. Ok so we're looking at a '85 with a 285, 2stick 6 speed, and 4.64 rears. Was suppose to have tubetype tires on it. Has 11r24.5s on it now. Goodyear also makes a 11r24.5 that is the g182 which is larger then a regular 11r24.5. Was wondering what the speed would be with regular 11r24.5s vs. 12r24.5s?
  6. Belevance and Roy A-car. Got a 425 CAT under the hood.
  7. That truck is nice. He redid everything on it i believe. Met him to swap brockways one day in upstate NY.
  8. I dont think they're worth much(could be wrong) but still cool to have.
  9. Truck Builders is way out of price on everything. Wanted $5k for a piston and thats not adding the tax. Took a 2 hour ride up to Donavan in NH for 2300 no tax.
  10. Do you know how much they go for Bryan? The Brandon/Bibeau smooth side go for 13k and add another 3k installed with paint, lights, etc
  11. Ive seen it done. Looked nice. Definitely sounds like 38s or lighter. Do you have the paperwork from Mack Museum? That should state the rating.
  12. I looked through my pictures and seems all 44k/46k have 6. 38s all have 8. 58s and 65s have 8. The newer 58s have 10.
  13. My R-model with 38s has 8 bolts, our RD has 44s and 6 bolts, our superliner has 46s with 6 bolts and a Dm800 i moved has 65s with 8 bolts.
  14. I would do what superdog said and just put the chrome nut covers and paint it up. I personally like the look of the cone axles.
  15. The walls and tailgate structure are made of cheaper steel. Rots out completely. Add salt into the mixture and its done. The smooth side bodies are made of high tensile steel that will last longer. They also do not have paint problems as much because theres no ribs for stone to hit and chip the paint off. Theres a few DMs running around CT with the newer smooth side bodies and i think they look sharp.
  16. Brought a load of scrap down yesterday. Rubino Bros. truck taking a load out. Was surprised to see name hand painted on it.
