  1. Thanks for the replies, I have pulled the relays that are on the firewall and cleaned the connections, wasn't sure if they had anything to do with the engine brake, but the problem seems to have gone away.
  2. Thanks for the welcome....
  3. Hi there all. I see nearly everyone on here is from USA or Canada, but our Mack trucks over here in Australia are mostly the same. I'm in central Queensland, in a coal mining area. The roads are rough as guts and we do a lot of gravel road work also. The old Macks take a hiding and generally fair pretty well. Theres 2 Fleet Liners (same as CH models) dump trucks with trailers, we call them truck and dog, with 470 HP E7 Vmac engines, a 01 Superliner with a Detroit Series 60 that pulls a drop deck semi trailer, and and older CH model 454 that pulls a semi side tipper sometime pulls two side tippers in a road train configeration. I found this site looking for a problem with the fleet liner, and have posted it. Cheers Woz
  4. Anyone have any idea why my e7 470 Fleet liner starts having split second engine stop and then start again, this can happen every second or up to 10 seconds but mostly happen every 3 to 4 seconds. It's like a cough. Only seems to happen after using the engine brake, even thats variable, after using engine brake it can start playing up straight away or some times up to 15 minutes after. It will keep doing it for over half an hour, I think sometimes when you hit a decent bump it will cure itself. Or it won't fix itself until its been turned off and the next day it will be allright. If you don't use the engine break it dosen't seem to happen.
