  1. They're the best people to deal with. Had to order some parts for one of ours the other day and they lady had it shipped out that day. ive gone up there other times to pick up parts and they go out of their way to help you. Take a lot of pride in their work.
  2. Saw this nice R685 today. I believe it was a '68. Pretty solid little heavy duty truck.
  3. I thought CT was bad. They only put ice treatment down when a storm is near. They at least wash their trucks and have the guys paint them when there is nothing to do.
  4. Saw this old A-car getting off 84 in Newtown last week.
  5. Bob, don't forget the mile long shifter that makes your hand rub the headliner.
  6. I heard he sold half the trucks after the guy with all the money stopped giving it to him. So those are probably the sold ones or he's changing name or something
  7. The Volvo seems to be either you love them or hate them. I for one think they are one of the ugliest trucks built. I Know a local company had a motor they kept as a spare but never needed. Others seem to blow up a lot. A company that ran all marks went to Volvo and I see now the switched back to the macks. I would personally go with a old mechanical mack. If it breaks down at least you can fix it on the side of the road. Once electronics are involved you gotta go to the dealer and they want $$$$ to look and see what's the problem.
  8. They bought up all the mack dealers in CT. Their employees are hopeless without the vin. Hartford has 2 guys that know the old trucks and only need a description. Bought a new truck from them in '01 and they never wanted to fix anything right. Needless to say we only deal with Springfield(Ballard) or Courvilles Garage in montville that is a mack parts dealer. The parts guys there don't care what it is theyll spend time looking all over for parts and both are a lot cheaper then gabrielli
  9. I'm assuming Gabrielli? That don't say much for that company.
  10. They've been double decking trailers down 95 all last week. Started bringing the crane back up Friday.
  11. Generally 5 speeds dont have the "pto gear" and need it installed. Might have one though.
  12. Town of Brookfield service truck
  13. Was your DM800 there too? Looked like an ex Dayton truck there as we were puling out.
  14. Alcoa made a retro 5 hole aluminum rim. Very hard to find. They were marketed terribly so they never really caught on till they stopped making them and people heard
