Cowoeker had a good runner module stashed in his collection of breakers and spare parts BINGO Work like A charm! exsact same number tryed another DLR from our stock nope no worky got to send the whole works back to the Volvo /Mack superdollarstore for credit and go to PAI to by parts I guess????
  2. Don't get me wrong either I have absolutely no use for most politicians! Specially silver spooners!! How ever my first comment still stands in my mind the attitude of society has changed in the last 10 years finally ! However The timing of sum of these events as of late is questionable ! The length of time between the alleged crime and now is a bit extreme! This stuff is happening way to often as of late !had she brought the subject up even 5 years ago It would have been more credible In my mind And we likley would not be talking about this here today!
  3. Bummer! Your contributions here are horribly valuable! However! You And I have the same outlook On the product/Industry I believe ! Big race to the bottom.๐Ÿ˜ฃ
  4. Hey Pro Did you bail ! On your job?
  5. Yup Its sad! if that woman had spoken up years ago It would have been MAYBE somewhat more credible as it is In my mind she wasting everyones time! And screwing with peoples lives!
  6. Probably has a tariff on it or their withholding it Cause we haven't given in to the big dictators nafta demands! ๐Ÿ˜‚
  7. You could have the beginnings of Idle gear failure there You might consider not running it much longer till you have checked into it more closely! expensive shit to repair specially if it craters totally!
  8. Nothing wrong with that vid rider Good job buddy! I didn't listen to the audio! and you may have mentioned this , With just hand tools it would likely take a tad longer than 10 mins but definitely Worth Packing the pieces! A good investment in my opinion .is A battery powered 1/2 inch impact . And an extra deep 3/4 impact socket Made for the release bolt. Makes the job a snap!๐Ÿ‘ There are some shortcuts to that project however you got the point across! If A person is smart he/she packs a spare Piggyback kit in the truck !
  9. So I thought I would up date this post a little ! The last diff that I repaired And slathered the bolt with RED locktight lasted approx A year and a half! We replaced that diff with a REMACK Diff That diff lasted 1 Month and a few DAYs !We have since replaced That diff With yet Another REMACK diff at the discretion of the Eservice Guys And Before installation WE Lock tighted the Bolts In Hopes having this poor guy being able to work for a year or so before it blows up again ! 4 Fricking diffs in the time frame of 2 years! Not acceptable in my mind ! Moral of the story! Quit messing with tried and true designs ! Three bolts are better than one!
  10. These days It seems that over 80 percent of most downtime issues are emission related! Correct me If I'm wrong I Believe in the late eighties and early nintey's there was a seven year Warranty on emissions devices imposed on manufacturers ? If manufactures of today we mandated by law and had to source reliable sensors and wiring we would have more reliable equipment! Thoughts anyone!
  11. The timing is done by the computer the pumps are electric the older set up is electricly governed the timing is selected totally by the computer!
  12. Unplug the ecu and check the pins
  13. Not positive I believe 1/2 inch
  14. Yup thatโ€™s the best way
  15. Turn up the tunes bro
  16. There is a saying at our shop ! IT ain't sold till the name is on the door And the tail lights Are heading out the Driveway!๐Ÿ™„
  17. Please clarify is the trans NEW/Reman? Or did you replace the range valve on the top of the Trans? Does the Truck Have A cummins or Mack Engine Eaton or Mack 18sp ! Mack !!!!! Check to see that the out put yoke is tight!!! If it has a cummins and a mack trans the loose yoke issue becomes more complex!
  18. TDC Is TDC TIMING IS TIMING The cam / crank marks will line up on tdc #1 the valves on number six should be on the rock!
  19. On truck one you say the rockers are fine rule that out I have only 3 thoughts The Valves were set wrong to start with if thats possible ! Or the cam gear has slipped on the cam its self never seen that happen.............. The valve guides were to tight of tolerance when assembled if they are reman that is possible and have seen it happen! observation! \As for truck two Judging by the work done my guess will been incorrect liner height ! low spec is 22 which is borderline usable! in my opinion! your allowed 00.2 thou between liners under one head This is some times hard to acheive when shimming liners you need to sometimes drifit them several times to get it right I believe the guy who installed the liners didn't spend the time to check his work the finished product before the heads went on ! Have also seen this happen There are things the Book don"t tell you and this is double check your work BEFORE the heads go on A good liner height for these Is 24-28 anything in between or slightly above is OK! and the spec between liners should be strictly adhered to! Zero Variation is best In my opinion but not always attainable This is where your issue lies in my opinion! Could be right out to lunch on this but judging from your comments its my guess! Just my 2 cents! 2
  20. Yup that is a possible cause how ever you would think after AS many clutches and look sees this unit has under gone someone would have at least mentioned the shaft had some wear to it, but also knowing the lack of caring ( don't give a shit attitude) a lot of society has today ! I guess its possible it has been overlooked! Like I said I'm confused!
  21. You said the clutch shafts are fairly new But How old is your Clutch cable ? If its old replace it!!! At this point if it sounds like a slipping clutch it likely is a slipping clutch In my mind the only things you haven't changed here are the clutch pedal and the cable Never seen a clutch pedal siezed to the shaft anything is possible I guess ! I have seen clutch cables cause grief And we are Grasping At straws At this point! Also a thought here! Have you tried locking out the power divider? Is there a possibility that there is a striped axle gear and it is grabbing and slipping intermittently! When this post first started when were focusing on the engine cause it happened all the while the engine ran ? Now we are looking at the frame? and under power? I am Officially confused ! ๐Ÿ˜ฃ
  22. I also Kev ! It must mean ! They had Fake news back then too I guess! !๐Ÿ™„ (In jest!)
  23. Yup me too how ever he should be smelling the un mistakable smell of heated clutch/brakes
  24. The bell housing is part of the trans you will need to fab mounts as for the tone ring that will be tough as there were very few built with electric speedo you may fine one thru chassis records of some MH cab over chassis!
