  2. I like the 1/1 scale b model, payloader and the IH dozer with the full cab
  3. I agree if it runs good and drives you are miles ahead. A twin line wrecker for that kinda money you better scoop that up!!! But what has been said is true anything can be a money pit from a b61 to a 66 mustang to a 2000 model kia so thats in the eye of the beer holder as they say. If you have any questions on B's or macks in general the amount of information on here is abundant and most is first hand information from members who have been there. As a recent member to the b model ownership world i can say if you have a question it can be awnsered here
  4. On your starter issue mine did the sane thing take a good screw driver (but one your not fond of cause it will most likely melt the tip off) and bridge the top two solenoid terminals together and hit the starter and see if she spins over. Btw congrats on a nice save looks to be in pretty good shape
  5. Well got the hair up my rear to have the body work done and have her painted by monday ill post up some pics tomorrow of the progress
  6. I agree with whats already been said about the truck shows and if your into trains strasburg is a class act and steamtown is a interesting visit as well. A lil bit farther south is Cass Scenic Railroad and the Durbin and Greenbrier Valley family of railroads. Cass is a orig. logging railroad that operates 5 geared shay locomotives up 4-6% average grade for 11 miles. D&GV trains opperate over ex. Western Maryland and C&O trackage. Two trains operate first generation EMD diesel and the other a rare Climax steam locomotive Eric
  7. Jocko how bad does she smoke? And you wouldnt be interested in a good running transtar dump truck would ya Eric
  8. Ya youll have to put 2500-3500 in new rubber & rims, assuming there 10x22's, plus it smokes? How bad? Like just a lil puff at start up? Smokes till she warms up ? Or can you pull out and make a clean get away?
  9. 4 spring rayco is all i know it by and same here i i wish it was about 2000 miles closer

  15. He might be willing to sell it idk one of those things it never hurts to ask. And im going to do my best to take care of her. Im not goin to abuse her but she is going to be in light revenue servie
  16. Thanks guys. Ya she is turning out to be a good work horse. A few teething problims but bothing major ( had to work on the series parallel switch, lights, a few fuel leaks) but today was a lil over 8 tons and up hill in 4th in the main and 2nd aux. same hill in the transtar wit the 250 cummins 10spd is a 6th gear pull so im happy with her power wise. Only had one time so far ive almost lost it, the top of the hill today levels off then a sharp curve then one last pull thats the steepest and i almost lost it trying to go 4th & 2nd down to 3rd & 4th. Missed 4th but was able to grab 2nd. Needless to say the people behind me were kinda pissed at me going about 16mph
  17. Id like to get some pics of the old cranes and the old lima shovel too
  18. Well finally got to take some pics of me getting loaded. Had a load of fill dirt to haul, picked it up at Mazella Quarries in South Charleston WV. Its a really neat place to got to cause its practically a working musuem This was a neat older loader 4-53 detriot and a 4 in 1 bucket Here are a few pics from infront of their garage Heres what loaded me. Not often you see two machines from the same vintage. A interesting old box trailer kinda rough but saveable
  19. He has some neat interesting stuff. OD that cargostar i beleave is a ex usps truck if i remember correct and the transtar straight truck (black with yellow stripes) is in nice shape 318 10 or 13spd the rear of the frame was added to it and it has a aux trans that isnt hooked up. The b75 is nice but the motor is locked up the red tandem is suposed to be in good shape with tripple frame and the yellow b is suposed to start and drive
  20. I wish i had a way to get her home. Because i think i might raise a few eyebrows with it behind a f350
