Thanks guys. Ya thought id like the rims white but i dont so when i repaint my fenders im going to paint my rims the same metallic silver. I got to haul some gravel yesterday and put about 100 miles on her. I was able to balance my phone in my coat and record some of my shifting. Yes from the pic that appears to be a oil cooler. The line coming off the front by the rad hose is a pressure line just like a hyd hose so it will be hard and not very flexable. And yes that is your luber-finner filter housing it takes a large cartridge style element. There are two sizes (if i remember correct only two) a small and large most macks take the smaller of the two sizes. The other line is lower pressure back to the cooler. As far as the v8's their hard to find and parts are even harder. This was brought up on a different page and it was said that parts are almost non existent. Well i finally found my buried mayo jar and got some new tires and new rims. Looks and rides alot better than the dry rotten 10x22's

I can say ive got one of the lil $99 HF generators and if your wanting to keep your batt. Charged id keep one if them and a small batt charger. You can hear them running but there not very loud. Im very happy with mine. And ya HF stuff either breaks the first time out or lasts forever. And if you spend the extra $20 some odd bucks for the extra 2 year warranty, if it dies take it back and you get a brand new one no questions asked

When they built the new four lane us35 here in wv and every bridge approach on both ends was at least 4" higher than the bridge surface. My old IH fleetstar daycab single axle would actually catch air on a few bridges and bounce like a basketball. Thank god the fixed them now

If your wanting to start a truck shop that handels all parts mechanical body and paint work, what better way to show off what you can do and with your B. Honestly if my B needed work and i was joe blow looking for a shop to do some body work and a paint job and had the option of a few shops and one had restored a old road tractor to the extent you have done yours,my searching would be over and id leave you the keys. a living example of your skills like that is the kind of advertising you cant buy. And like was said anything you would do with it (parades, going to car and truck shows) could be written of as advertising expendature. I understand that you gotta do shat you gotta do but loosing a piece like that that has the memories of you and your dad working together cant be replaced

Rd800's were mostly set up as coal trucks with high side steel bodys i have seen the few tri axles and a few set ip for oil field tractors & mixers. Most ive seen are coal trucks though. Heres one from hanks truck fourm

Did the flange break because of rust swelling of overloading? If it was overloaded id say ya make ya a tandem. If there is rust swelling its only gonna get worse especially if its already broke one of the frames and the only way to fix it is to have it reframed. Do you have any oics of the truck and it affliction?
