  1. They did mine for $300. Surfaced, new lining on the disc. Shipping extra(this stuff is HEAVY). Like 3 day turnaround. This of course was a single disc. No one around here deals with this old stuff anymore. Someone here posted this place and I called them. Nice people.
  2. I wish my B model cab was squared off! I'm liking that pleated material. My old cardboard headliner is in such sad shape I don't think I could get it all stuck back together to cover it with that pleated material? If I had more room to work I might be able to "form" some new cardboard and put material on it and do it in sections of sort.
  3. Wonder if the bearing issues was from how bad you lugged it around at low rpm?
  4. DW Clutch did a great job rebuilding mine. DWClutch.com
  5. I don't even know what model I have. Got it the same time I got my starter and batteries. One wire unit, works fine. I reused the existing bracket, just spaced the alternator to line up and re engineered the slide bracket for adjustment. Pretty simple. Then all you have to do is switch the wires on the back of the AMP meter.
  6. Interesting topic. I had the heads off my 237 last spring. I've wondered if it is good to retorque the heads and go through the valves at 5K miles like the motor books mentions. Since mine is just a toy it doesn't see the long term running a working truck sees. But still, for maintenance the old books state to do this.
  7. I dodged most of those bullets. Had the coughing crap the first week of January, missed on the flu stuff. Lucky me.
  8. Well, just an advertising shot, not per say the Superliner posted by the OP.
  9. Here's a working shot of the crane. Not fully extended though.
  10. Friend already bought one a bout a year ago. Pretty solid unit and was cheap.
  11. Go figure. The real drivers of today don't want that "automated" crap driving the car for them. I've wondered if that automatic braking is available on a stick shift car? Of course that narrows it down to less the 1 percent of the "target" customers.
  12. Finding an R model with round tanks around here is hens teeth. The tanks on most of the later model stuff is 26" or larger and that is the issue I have. Those are too big.
  13. B model tanks are not are large as other newer trucks. I suppose I could make do, but I figure I wanted to do it "right". I'm also trying to keep it simple. If I could have another year to scrounge up parts and make it work but I'm trying to do it all in a couple months. I've been patching a leak in the drivers tank for 2 years now. I want to get rid of it for good. I've priced used tanks at local truck yard. But they are a few inches larger in diameter and by the time I hang them on the truck they will be near scraping the ground. At least they would look like it to me. I know, I'm being picky.
  14. I just spoke to Paul at Alumitank yesterday. I'm going to supply them a drawing of my old square tanks. They'll make production drawing for me to approve, then about 5 days I'll have two new tanks. I tried to get them to make the tanks from diamond plate, that way it matches my rear fenders and genset box on the truck. They say that is not possible. Oh well, it was worth asking. I remember seeing a B model with diamond plate tanks, but that was many years ago and who knows who made them. I wanted to put round tanks on the truck, but the added cost(about $1K) for brackets is out of the budget. I could fab up some of it, but time will run short before I get that all done. The square tanks will bolt right back on after I blast/paint my old brackets.
  15. Wow...nice. That's a LOT of truck!
  16. Same place, different driver.............
  17. I'll sell you a running 673 for $750!
  18. Looks pretty solid Mark!! Nice. Now, you need Tom's mixer to really get your start in the construction business!!! (see how I did that Tom..........I'm looking out for ya).
  19. Baby steps..........................sooner or later you'll have it whipped into shape.
  20. I'm one click away from ordering new alum step tanks from Alumitank for my truck. Tired of fixing my rusty metal tanks. It's only money........
  21. I know what these fenders are like. I'd like to know what hit that passenger fender to cave it in like that?? Wasn't someones fist, that's for sure!
  22. Definitely put away "wet".........................
  23. Well, bit of a haul for me to go get it LOL! Neat piece.
  24. ^^only just after the driver gets free of the wreckage...................usually. Unless it's a "bad guy" then they never get out in time.
  25. Welcome to the forums. You have a few ways. Take pictures on phone and then download them right from your phone to here when you post(using your phone). Or save them to your computer and download them when you post here(on your computer). Or save them to a hosting site and then link them here. Linking is the best overall, as you have a limited amount of space you can save pictures to on the site. It will get you by for awhile, but suddenly you'll be full and no room left.
