  1. If you Make your move on at Saturday afternoon evening and those scales should(??) be closed up. Brocky
  2. That Mack probably weighs about 12,000 lbs (???) so that intl would be about at its limit. check the data tag and tire ratings for allowable weights, then total your weights up. You might have to load it facing backwards to keep the weight down on the steering axle?? As an old outlaw I would load it up. dodge the scales, give myself extra stopping space, and bring her home. Brocky
  3. I am in ERROR:: My eyes were playing games with me . I jumped back and forth between chapters in WOT Here is a Better phone and addy for Tony. He should be back from the show in Temple Tex by now. East Texas Wildcatters Tony Clemens 6705 Hwy 135 North Kilgore TX 75662 903-984-6897 Email: twclemens@hughes.net Brocky
  4. Dave And when both hands are together pointing up it is noon which equals "Picture Time" Brocky
  5. Brad Please check with Mr. Tony Clemens, 6705 North County Rd 141, Kilgore TEX, phone 830-743-3179 He is the president of the East Texas Wildcatters chapter of ATHS. There is a good possibility that he can help you with a good ballpark price, available local storage, and / or a way to help you keep it in the family and show it. Brocky
  6. An outfit in North Jersey used to have something similiar to dump bulk plastic pellets out of container trailers into a blower which blew them into pnuematic bulk trailers. Probably were also used for dumping wood chips and similiar materials before the live floors and big hydraulic platforms were developed. Brocky
  7. Tom Please go to the ATHS site (aths.org) they currently have a topic going about titles and gives you the name and address of a company in Maine who can register it in Maine, where the registration is proof of ownership on older vehicles, then sell it back to you with the proper paperwork for Wisc to issue you at title. Brocky
  8. I was born and raised on Brockways and my avavitor is my 358 that I want to make into a roll back. I am also bitten by the Diamond T bug as in the atthahed pictures.
  9. That 157 Brockway is a rarity also. would like to see a 3/4 view so I can see the front as well. What year is it?? As it must be a combination of the 100 series cab with 200 series fenders?? A front view will tell he if it is a 100 or 200 series grille / radiator suround. Brocky
  10. Vlad They look good here. Probably better than any others in your neighborhood. Brocky
  11. A lot of the truck price falls in the catagory of "how bad the buyer wants it and how much the seller wants" I have about 65 in my Diamond T and similiar ones sold recently go in the 40's although at Barrett Jackson Scotsdale 2 years ago one brought 100. When some one asks me if it is for sale I just say "it depends on how big their checkbook is", so far I have not heard any offers. As Mike said, There are a lot of variables involved if you are selling. If you are looking for "declared value" collision insurance you will probably have to go to an appraiser who has the right paperwork for the insurance company requesting the appraisal. In Greenville SC it was a Corvette / Classic car dealer who only wanted pictures and a short verbal description of its rareity and who and how the restoration was done and he wrote it up for the 65 I have in it. Hope all this helps Brocky
  12. Do you have lots of time??? About 25 years ago my Aunt and Uncle booked a stateroom on a freight ship from the west coast to Oz. No cruise ship, but good accomidations and food. No idea of the cost?? Brocky
  13. Is the Wagon Wheel restraunt in Paradise still operating with the same food as 25 years ago??? Brocky
  14. You will have to find a tire man that services container chassis. And there are a lot of the one man / one truck tire service men out there, It is the big tire companys and chains who will not touch snap ring tires. OSHA scardicats. The majority of the containers are still running 10:00 X 20 snap ring tube type tires. Just be sure they are in a cage or mounted on the truck snap ring facing inside or another tire before inflating them. Brocky

  20. Mike It was great meeting you and your Dad. Am glad you enjoyed the show. You missed getting this picture of a mirror back. The final count was 154 Brockways on Main St plus the 9 displayed on the museum floor made a total of 163 registered.
  21. YEP!!! Having those expensive electric ears stashed away in the medicine cabnet sure does help out in just mumbling something incohearant when the wife asks those loaded questions. Brocky
  22. David The auction is about 7-7:30 PM on friday night. It contains mostly Brockway parts, Various vender (Cummins,Detroit,Eaton, etc) shop manuals and literature, two years ago there was a complete truck, and last year a large 3x6 foot statue of a Huskie. Craig Morgan is in charge of it and I do not have his email addy. Try Stan Augustine at Saugustine@stny.rr.com and he should have some info as well as Craigs email. Vinny You better have your Papa have a serious talk with your mother!! You can buy school clothes and paperwork on a Sunday or at night, But there is only one day for a 100th anniversary truck show. Heck have him tell her that he needs your assistance to unload the golf cart!! Mike I hope you can make it up. I am driving just a tad further.. the long side of 750-800 mile from below Greenviille SC. Brocky

  24. Rudy Anmother place to check for used 24.5 Dayton type ( spoke) rims are some trucking companys who are phasing out their older trailers with spoke wheels and replacing them with hub piloted Budd (disc) wheels. I got 10 22.5 rims for FREE that way from the company I worked for. Brocky
