My wife who is from here told me to shut up, they were just being safe.... I guess I am supposed to supress my winter driving skills because I AM a Yankee... 🤔anyway,, no one was hurt in the making of this post... Plus he was laying in the snow under his truck to get the frozen outrigger sensors to work to allow his bucket to go up. If this guy wasn’t making $250/hr he wasn’t getting paid enough. The worst part for me was always my wipers icing up. I'd have to pull over and clear the ice off and wouldn't get 5 miles before I'd have to do it again. Electric elements in the glass just like a rear window in a car or SUV. As far as l know the drivers really like it. I was in awe… Yes, the men who work on power lines in terrible weather conditions do not get either the pay or the respect they deserve. My house heat system is the same as yours. I have a large Eden Air electric heater, which I can run off my generator, is enough to keep the house warm for short periods of time. Our local Electric Coop is very good at responding to calls quickly.
