Wow missed this somehow that thing is gorgeous really good condition google search for a filter element and tubeless rims still available. They are not cheap as far as the brake booster. You’ll have to shop around again. Google search first brake booster rebuild. I’m sure somebody has parts for it out there. Good luck and thanks for the post…. Bob

I have the same problem with a split rims. I’m just gonna do them myself. I was going to go to tubeless, but they’re so expensive. I’m just going to use what I got. And yes, that is quite a looker. You got there truck appears to be immaculate…. Bob

Really nice Mack L , I want through the same process on my 54 L pumper, www.whitepost.com in Virgina cost about $700.to rebuild the hydrovac, changed all tires and rims to Daytons rims and 1100x20 radials (better ride) after I had a flat on the steer tire ,the locking rim was very rusted out and dangerous,so what would the others look like ? came from snow country

Changed the oil filter system from the old sock canister (only filters about 10% of your oil) to a spin-on,you have to make a bracket easy to do , I can send a photo to your phone. also changed the points in dists. to Petronics( electronic) ,must be made for positive ground if that is what you still have. Changed the batteries from 4- 6v to 2 -12 volt

Change over to tubeless 1100.20. I did all four on back of my 52 L85 and it was night and day difference. Truck rides so much better. I found all four rims and pretty new  tires for $100 on Craigslist

UPDATE!

We have we received a new modern brake booster, installed it and bled the system the old girl stops.  We took the truck to a truck tire shop and had tires inspected. They recommended being a parade truck that nothing to do now. The tires show no age cracks or signs of any dry rot. Now that the truck is drivable, it won't park on the same spot in the tires now. 

We are going to add a fuel filter and electric fuel pump. any recommendations? 

FXFYMN for the forum gave a recommendation for a pump in the forum.  

609Albert. I would like to get the photo/ info on changing the oil filter over. I was just pondering finding a power steering filter that would fit in the existing oil filter can. Any thoughts on that Forum?

Can you tell me more about the new brake booster you used? I'm currently needing to do the same thing on our 1956. I was planning on getting Whitepost to rebuild to do the booster and wheel cylinders but I would certainly consider using something a little more modern. I just need it to stop.

I used the electric pump that yarnell posted and it’s worked great for me on my 52 L. 609albert how did the electronic ignition do. I bought everything to swap over but haven’t done it yet.

Hey Jean it works great. Went thru a place called Harmon classic brakes out of Canton GA. Bought the booster from them 62-1633 is part #. I was able to modify the rear bracket to hold the new booster and used local brake parts store to get the adapters to get to the existing lines. As the unit will come in metric and only single out line where I needed  2. I’ll post some pics to the forum in the next couple of days for you
