When did mack stop making 2v e6?

Looks like a replacement engine was put into your truck.

I believe 1988 is the last year of production for the 2 valve to be put in trucks on the assembly line. Brand new 2V engines or ReMack 2V engines would have been available through the parts system for several more years and the actual build date of the engine would be stamped on the tag.

It doesn't cost anything to pay attention.

Jim, is your answer related to all 2V's or except EM6's?

In the States but did production run longer in Australia?

Most likely a Re Mack with the date different than the truck. Paul

Thanks guys. Are remack engines tagged differently? IE, would it actually say remack? I've seen a remack diff before and the tag screamed at me "remack"!

I guess I assumed mack would of phased out the 2v when the 4v came along.

Could have been a virgin new crate motor
