1958 F.W.D. Posted November 2, 2015 Share Posted November 2, 2015 That relief valve is basically a gutted Fomoco master cylinder. Just unscrew the knob, remove the shaft and screen, rinse with hot water and blow with an air tip.....reinstall.....works 90% of the time. And if you need any Waterous parts, call or message ME first.....might have stuff lurking about in dark places. Popular Post gearhead204 Posted November 12, 2015 Author Popular Post Share Posted November 12, 2015 Ok just an up date, with thanks to Sam and Randy and Waterous pumps I got the ol'e girl pumping as it should, 300+ psi at about 1300 rpm. the relief piston was stuck in its bore. It looks like she will see active duty again as it will be a nice up grade for our small volunteer dept. I still have a few more repairs to do, the volume / pressure spool is stuck in the pressure position, and the front suction butterfly valve is in need of a good cleaning to free it up, and a full service of the power train. 7 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
