I'm learning as I get to installing one on my b model.Mine came with a manual valve. Updated versions use a solenoid valve activated by push button on dash. But the motor portion looks just like the one I have. Auction says "5 available". If you know someone that ran air start...you could make some easy money on it.Wonder if Barry could tell us what it is suppose to fit? thomastractorsvc Posted January 27, 2015 Share Posted January 27, 2015 I just called the Mack dealer to see what they would say, the parts guy that I spoke with said looks like it is for an MR I asked what motor and he said that needed a Vin# for an MR. Paul1890 Posted January 29, 2015 Share Posted January 29, 2015 My 70 U model had an air starter for years, large air tank on rt side for supply.a relay valve right under the pyrometer to start truckGot tired of it about five years ago and installed electric starter,It was an ingersol rand starter alsoTruck was fitted with a governer bypass valve from factory, will put about 150 psi in tank for more starting air Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
